"Your turn," I yawned. I watched my sister, Tasmin scroll through her cards. Her eyes slowly looked up at me with a smirk as she out down the 2 of spades. "Come on, I only had 1 more card left and you just had to put that card down?" I said while a bit of anger emerged inside me. Tasmin just started giggling. Right now, we're playing Big 2 and my last card is the 8 of diamonds. It's Tasmin's turn and I'm crossing my fingers hoping she'll kill put down a very low number.
As she slowly planted her card down, her phone started ringing. "Hello?" She said. I could see her face swiftly turn nervous. "Oh, ok thanks... I guess I'll see you later..." she said nervously. "Wait, where are you going?" I curiously said. Without answering, Tasmin got up getting her phone running downstairs. I could tell something was wrong but I didn't know what.
