Preface
I never thought as myself as normal, I always knew I was different from all the other teens that were my age but never really understood until know, My name is Zarina and I am 16 years old and I have light skin and hazel eyes and considered a anorexic , I'm always constantly told that I am weird by my classmates or other random people that just met me the first time, or that were told by the cause of a rumor that told them that I was weird, I don't mind it really because I already know that I am. I live in Clarksville, Texas with my mother named Jewels In a small cabin close to the Lennox woods, My father disappeared when I was born, therefore I didn't know how my dad looked, but I constantly remember a voice in my mind reminding me of a man voice that was telling me something but I don't really understand if it's his or not or of what he said. I go to school at Hillview High and I'm always quiet in class and just do my work and read many books "Yes I love reading!" my best friend would be Tianna which is a girl with brunette hair and light brown eyes and loves the same things as me and is also made fun of for the way she is with her weight problems, Everyone in my school knows each other for the reason of living in such a small town, and all of them are harsh and mean "don't you think?"
The Chosen One Chapter 1
I woke up in the middle of the night to a dark figure in my dreams trying to say something to me , this has happened to me ever since I was young, My mother came running to my room and came to calm me down "don't worry everything is going to be all right" I felt tense and had Goosebumps all over my body with tears running down my cheeks, but with my mothers comfort I felt protected from what was interfering in my dreams every time I woke up, I always felt sadness when I always had the dream, I don't know why but I did. It was morning at I was getting ready to go to my first day for senior year school, and then I heard the phone ring, I rapidly changed and picked up the phone "hello?", "hey Zarina is me Tianna, I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to go early today to school, From what I heard they have new books in the library, so do you want to come!" "Sure why not "I replied looking back at the clock by my dresser. "Okay then meet you at 7:00am, I'll be picking you up "she replied "okay bye" I hanged up the phone, and then went downstairs and the smell of eggs and ham lingered in the air in the kitchen. I looked and found my mother cooking, she looked all dressed up to go to work wearing a pony tail with her beautiful luscious brunette hair, she worked as a waitress in a small restaurant called "Barbecue Big Ribs Eats Restaurant" in town, and came back from home when it was midnight or later in the morning, To make up enough money from the tips and pay. "Good Morning Zarina!" my mother said rapidly. "Good Morning mom" I answered. "Before I leave Zarina I want you to eat the breakfast I cooked you I'm in a hurry okay." "Okay mom I will" and before I can say anything else my mother went out the door, I rapidly ate my food and heard a loud honk, it was Tianna picking me up for school. I quickly took my stuff and went running towards Tianna's truck and jumped inside "Hello Tianna!" I said she smiled while looking straight at the road "What's up Zarina , hey so like I was saying they have new books at the library, and I want to see if they have one that I like" "sure why not, the more the merrier" I answered. She giggled "stop it Zarina you're a joker!" "Yeah maybe I am "I answered. The truck went to a stop and we hopped of the truck looking inside our bags for the library cards. "Crap! I forgot mine!" I answered. "Maybe, because you were in such a rush!" she responded laughing. "Yeah I believe so" we went in the library, and walked towards the librarian, her name tag read Virginia she was pale white with blonde hair ,and was wearing glasses. "Hello Ms. Virginia, I wanted to know where the new books are located at "I answered. She smiled "Sure, what kind of books are you looking for?" she answered. "Were looking for Fiction books" I answered. "Sure let me go fetch them" she replied back, and went walking towards the main table, and came back with six of them "Here you go dear, just returned back the books you don't want so I can return them to their rightful place in the sections" she said "sure I will" I replied. Me and Tianna scanned through the books, and she smiled and screamed. "OMG this is the book I been wanting" she took hold of a book called "Fallen". Then I look thought the rest and none of the stood out to me " maybe next time I will get a book since I don't have my library card , lets hurry before school starts, we don't want to be late for the first day of senior year" I replied. "Sure lets go, let me just check out the book" she replied. "Okay meet you in the truck" I answered. I walked back towards the truck and stood there looking around at my town, until I felt the weird sensation that someone was staring at me, I looked around but never found anyone staring at me. "Hey let's go!" Tianna said and I jumped up screaming "Wtf you think! U scared me!" I replied." Chill Zarina I didn't mean to scare you, what were you doing anyway?" "Nothing just looking around" I replied. "Okay lets go" we hopped back in the truck, and went straight to school. "Okay so what's wrong Zarina, I know you very well to know that something wrong" she asked. "Nothing just thinking of school" "don't worry everything would be all right, I believe is going to be different this year trust me!" she answered. I smiled "sure I'll believe that" I said. The truck stopped and we went off taking our things for school, I had only three periods with Tianna so I had to deal with it, "See you later Tianna in second period "she winked "yeah sure let's see who we get "she replied. I went running of towards my class which was Library practice which was a job for assisting the librarian in putting books back, I went into the library and noticed there were four students only four students in my class, I was happy . the librarian looked at us "welcome back students to the year of 2009, my name is Teresa and you will be having a easy class which you will never have homework or test only work to put books away and you will have this class as a free period to do homework or projects from other classes. "She answered smiling. Many of the students screamed with excitement with the new found news of no homework , I was also happy of not having to do more work to stress me out more like last year. "Today we're are going to just sit down and relax!" she answered. Everyone smiled proudly and started standing up to go to the few computers the library offered. I just sat down and looked for something to make time past faster. After a while later the bell rang and I went to my next class with Tianna .It was geometry class, yeah both of us suffered in that subject I looked for Tianna and sat next to her. The bell rang again for the tardie bell. "Okay welcome class im Ms. Gibbs and I would be teaching you student's geometry!" I yawned for the cause of boredom "wake up" Tianna answered "is just barely second period!" She said. "yeah yeah" I answered. The same thing passed on of teachers introducing themselves to student until it was six period my last period I was happy because the day was almost over. I entered the class and the teacher was speaking to a guy, then I sat down and noticed the student that I've never seen him before in this town. I scanned to see how he looked he wore denim jeans and a casual white t-shirt. All the students sat down and greeted each other and whispered to ask each other who the new guy was, many of the girls screamed with excitement as low as possible saying that he was really hot , then the teacher spoke" welcome students I'm Mr. Kregs but you can call me Mr. K as you wish" he smiled like he had good news "okay student I welcome you a student that you might not know ,for the cause of him barely moving to this town this week, his name is Dylan and he has moved from another small town from Texas" the students all cheered and screamed and whistled , I saw his expression and he didn't seem to care to for all the attention he was getting, he walked towards me and sat quietly next to me , I don't know but something seems familiar about his face, I looked at him from the corner of my eye and notice him staring back at me I rapidly felt sick to my stomached, and went running of to the bathroom without excusing myself from the class, I knew what was going to happen next . As
I entered the bathroom I rapidly went to the mirror and looked at my pale reflection staring back at me showing a comparison of a ghost, I panicked as i felt prickle all over my body and felt the Goosebumps as I looked behind me ,and notice a figure of a women starring back at me from behind me in the mirror, she smiled back at me but I closed my eyes and spoke softly in my mind "I'm sorry I can't help you right know " as in finish speaking the words I opened my eyes and saw nothing just my reflection back only. As I went back I tried to keep as calm as possible. I stopped by the nurse office and asked her "Hello, would you let me stay here until the end of class I don't feel so good right know." she looked at me as if i was talking in another language. "Do you have a pass from your teacher?" I'm sorry i didn't get a pass because I just ran out of the class i was about to throw up, she looked at me too see if I looked sick somehow " Okay then I'll let you stay, just this time but next time at least try to get a pass before you actually leave the class". I started getting a little dizzy after a bit "okay sure" she went to get a paper "Okay know, Tell me your name and your ID please dear." "My name is Zarina Bells and my ID is 41083902939" I tried to keep myself getting dizzy. "Okay then , just leave when the bell rings okay and if you don't feel better just call me back " "okay then". I heard the bell ring , but I couldn't stay in the nurse office for much more time ,because I knew something weird might happen, so I didn't want to take any risk sooo... yeah i took of even thought I was feeling dizzy. I scanned the school looking for Tianna and found her looking inside her locker, looking inside "Hello Zarina, I heard you felt sick, did the spirits bother you again?" I thought of all then things that happened trough the day "Yeah this time it was a women asking for my help, I don't know but I need a way to control this" I paused. "This is driving me Crazy, I need a way!" she looked at me like she understood, and smiled " Don't worry it might take some time, but your going control your powers one day" I frowned " Look who's talking the person that has no difficulty at all, dam... how do you make it possible to pass thought the days making a day normal?" I asked " Don't worry it takes time, I'll try to help you as much as I can.
