"I missed fresh air."

Roman takes a deep breath.

"Didn't we all?"

Seth looks at him.

"Yeah but you didn't have to be stuck in a cave with a beast."

"I was stuck with Bliss. It's worse. Wait, where is Bliss?"

Sasha questions the others as she looks around. Seth points at the lovers. Bliss and Neville sit by the lake just staring into the other's eyes, completely silent.

"Goals."

Sasha smiles. She then heads into the carriage. Roman follows. Seth looks at Rome, laughs then decides to collect fire wood. Soon after he starts a fire.

"Sasha?"

"Hey, Rome."

"You got a sec?"

"Yeah. Yeah, so what's going on?"

"I failed you. I couldn't protect you against that... That thing."

"If you really failed me, I wouldn't be here. Alive. You did well, Rome."

"I thought that was the last time I was going to see you."

"I did too. I'm glad it wasn't."

"Sasha, you know the way I feel about you. I care for you. I don't know if I can wait for you."

"Rome, I don't want to... My body is very precious to me."

"I don't care about mating. I just want to be with you. I want your love. I can wait for the rest."

Roman gently holds her hands. She looks down and releases his hands but he hangs on.

"I'm not ready to love. I'm sorry, Rome."

"And why not? Who's the jack*ss that hurt you so bad that made you this hardened? Who is it? I'll crush him."

"No one. There's no need for you to go hunting and crushing for me. There's no one."

Sasha looks through the carriage. She spots Seth then focuses on Roman again.

"No one, Rome, I prokepse."

"Ok, ok but why? Why can't you love?"

"It's hard for me to love. Everytime I work on something or get it right, I immediately fail afterwards. Whenever I fail, it's never something small or forgettable. Instead, it's damaging and extremely harmful. I don't want you to be my next failure."

"Sasha, we all fail and I will never be your failure. You can't fail love."

"You're making this harder than it already is."

"I just want to you to love me as much as I love you."

"We've known each other for less than a month. How do you know this is love?"

"If this was lust, I wouldn't try this hard. I wouldn't make an effort to stay by your side."

Sasha looks at him, confused.

"Wait... You're telling me if this was lust, you'd get the job done quicker? You think I'm easy, don't you? You think I'd just give myself up?"

"No. No, nothing even close to that. I'm not that kind of guy. You're different than other girls. You're strong, confident. Women all over this land are weak and submissive but you... you're ambitious."

He wipes Sasha's tears with his thumb and sits there, staring at her beauty. Sasha looks through and eyes Seth. roman follows the direction of her eyes.
