"You two have a beautiful baby boy" "His eyes are so precious, beautiful and exotic" "I hope you two think of a powerful and adoring name for this little guy..." The doctor paused for a moment, staring down at the little one, taking in the small alluring bundle of joy. She then finished her sentence in a very low whisper "He deserves it".
She then hands him over to a drowsy and worn out Aria, Ahmad and his heavy breathing stayed far away. Aria had never seen him so nervous and anxious. His dark skin blushed heavily and that's usually hard to see on him. She was surprised his feet hadn't gave out after all the pacing he had done during the birth.
"ARIA!!" The only beautiful memories she had so far in the past months were pushed to the side after hearing her name being called. She quickly finished preparing the formula for Caleb, as she rushed to answer Ahmad as well."Yes". Her soft voice finally answered as her feet sped across the beautiful marble floor to get to their child. He was soon gonna be a fussy child if she didn't get to him fast enough. She couldn't deny, Ahmad had impeccable decorative taste to be such a rough and demanding guy. The color scheme of the furniture in each room was beyond tasteful. It also seemed to tell a story of who he was, making it a little less beautiful. Everything was dark. From grey to black. The home lacked brightness. As if to say he wanted nothing to do with anything that even brought a pinch of positivity. Still beautiful nonetheless.
As she gently lifted him from the crib that his small body barely took over, she heard heavy footsteps coming her way. "Have you been in my office?". Ahmad's deep voice filled the room, "No". She kept her back turned continuing to feed Caleb. "Wh-" her voice got stuck. It always does before speaking to him. Her fear has gotten out of control with time but she had every right. She's never too sure of what he will do. She clears her throat and finishes In a awfully low tone. "Why?". Her eyes never left her child. She was a great mother, despite never being taught to be.
"There's money missing." After burping Caleb she gently placed him back down in the crib. Soon noticing how tight Ahmad's jaw was locked. If hiding anger was meant to be a skill, he surely failed at it miserably. "Why would I know where it is?"
His eyebrow raised. He slightly twisted his head to side with his eyes slightly scrunched. Piercing holes into her as if she asked was the sky blue. She gripped tightly to the bars of the crib. She knows those expressions a little too well and it couldn't mean anything good.
He chuckled lightly. He attempted to speak calmly. "So why is it missing?" "I-" he cut her off "You're the only one besides me that steps foot in there." His eyes darkened. Afraid, that she was but she couldn't be blamed for something she didn't do. Let alone suffer consequences for it.
She said, almost in a whisper "I, I wouldn't take from you." She looked down. She couldn't even look him in the eye. He just made her feel so much terror. Looking in his eyes would only make her shiver. Before things could get even more out of hand, she offered to help him look for it. That was her only way of preventing this mess from turning into something deadly.
"I'll help you find it." He stared at her for a few remaining seconds. A slick grin on his face, yet still angry. She never understood how he could display two emotions at once and not break a sweat. "I need it by tonight." He aggressively responds and cockily struts off. She hated this. He knew she would offer to search for it. That was his tactic. He's so playful with his mental and emotional tricks. She's like putty in his hands, that he knows.
She's either not gonna go against him or she'll do whatever out of fear. She stood there for a second. Her feet stuck in its place. Thinking on her own misery. Her life has no substance nor is it contained. It's in his control.
Tingles made it's way down her spine as her tears produced and dripped one by one at the thought. She sobs more thinking of how viciously he will annihilate every inch of her body if she never comes across what he misplaced. She can already mentally feel every blow. She covered her mouth to lower the sounds of her cry. She lightly whispers as she politely raises her head to the sky "Lord, I just need you."
