Here's Chapter 4!!!! yayyy!

Chapter 4:

He felt as if his soul had been returned to its shell. The moment the piece of metal entered his body, he was complete, he was-ALIVE.

Finally, after 3 years of being stuck in a wooden body, someone found the key which gave him life.

He wasn't very fortunate though.

His name was James Eric. The beloved young son of King Joseph.

He had a bright future ahead of him, a kingdom to take over, and many who believed in him. Thats when luck shined its back against him. And everything went downhill.

"Where.... Am i?" He thought. And winced as he tried to look around. The place was dark and silent, only the rhythmic tick-tock of the cuckoo clock could be heard as each second strolled by.

The place was huge, with ceilings sky-high above his head.

From afar, the big fireplace burned peacefully, with its red-orange flames bringing warmth to its surroundings.

A christmas tree with a nice minty scent stood beside the fireplace, its leaves decorated with bright colourful lights, skillfully made gingerbread cookies and red candy canes which hung from its sturdy branches.

Within those decorations, a petite little ceramic ballet dancer fluttered in position, wearing a shimmery golden necklace with a tiny heart-shaped locket attached in the centre.

She dangled gracefully on her own branch, looking as beautiful as ever. She was a special gift given to Clarie on her very first ballet performance.

She was only 3 then, and her mother gave it to her, telling her that she would one day become as beautiful as that petite ceramic dancer. Clarie kept that close to heart, and had practiced her dancing faithfully ever since.

"This is probably a house. A human house. Reality." The nutcracker nodded as he convinced himself that his assumptions were right.

As he moved his wooden neck downwards, he could feel the stiffness of restriction lying in every limb.

"Ahhh.... i forgot.... i'm not a man anymore..." he sighed.

He moved his wooden fingers and legs bit by bit, trying to get used to being robot-like.

After about 5minutes of trials, he finally got used to his new body. He walked aimlessly around the furry wine coloured carpets, trying to figure out what he could do.

Meanwhile, in a place far far away, yet not so far away, the mouse King was at a state of panic.

"My king. Someone has found the key to the nutcracker. We must seize him this moment". The mouse king's advisor had a magic mirror, that could show you anything you wished to see.

The mouse King had been using his precious mirror to observe everyone who posed a threat to him, and that included, the Nutcraker.

"HE'S ALIVE. BRING HIM! LEAVE THIS VERY MOMENT. SEND ALL THE TROOPS!" the mouse king commanded.

At that very moment, 30 000 mice marched out of the kingdom, entering the pathway of galaxies, which joint the two worlds.

(Back to the nutcracker)

As he turned, he realized that there was a beautiful young lady sound asleep on the sofa.

She had soft and wavy bronze coloured hair, which cascaded smoothly against her fair skin.

Her soft pink dress brought out the fairness of her skin, and the bottom of her dress was nicely sewn with lace.

A droopy, sweet, lily white ribbon brought hair together into a half ponytail, neat and preppy at the same time.
