And to think I was going to have a peaceful dinner, for after I was escorted to the large mahogany table in the center of the dining rooms the servants left us to find our assigned seating. I took my assigned seat, patiently waiting for the Kings arrival, before I had to stand to greet him along with all of his other guests. Due to my past knowledge of royal protocol in the sirenian court, I know that no one is allowed to be seated if the King has not taken his seat at the head of the table. So I waited, until the two patrons for the seats on either side of me arrived, I was about to politely greet them until I found that both of these guests are people that I despise with a deep passion.

Taking their seats next to me, I see Rhonda, a harpy I've had the unpleasant pleasure of meeting on a few occasions, let's just say not on very good terms, to my right. While on my left, their is Thames, a warrior male siren, with quite the reputation of being a 'ladies man' that knows no boundaries. Despite Mira being late, the people surrounding her looked much more appealing, due more to the fact that they were also absent.

"Well if it isn't TatiAnna, I was wondering when I would see you."  said Thames, flirtatiously grabbing my hand with his cold one bringing it up to his lips where he left an unpleasant lingering kiss on my knuckles.

When he finally released my hand I did not try to conceal wiping my hand on the side of my dress. Forcing a smile to  my face I greet both of my unbearable seat mates for the evening. "Thames, Rhonda, what a surprise to see you both here. Rhonda when was the last time we saw each other.

"Let me think, when you were about to slit my throat after your brother and I broke up.

"If I remember correctly, it was before. And the main reason for that event was because you were sleeping with another siren in one of my families homes, when they all went on vacation." I say back to her feigning innocence.

"Like you haven't had your fair share of  indiscretions  in this lifetime." she says trying to redirect the conversation, a very useless tactic on her part.

"Unlike you I can keep my legs closed." I state. Taking notice to the fact that Rhonda immediately closed her leg at my statement, I couldn't help but smile.

Waiting for the remainder of time until dinner started, I notice Mira rushing to her seat with a handsome man following closely behind her. Looks like Annalise didn't need to go and get her after all.

Somewhat curious of the gentlemen that came in with Mira that is until, Thames' disgusting hands started creeping up my thighs. Enduring his touch for only few minutes, pulling my dress up slightly to expose my thigh, I unsheathe my dagger from the holster I had around my right thigh. Aiming the point of the dagger over his wrist and whispered murderously into his ear,

"If your hand travels any further I will cut it off by the wrist."

"I'd like to see you try, sweetheart," he replied, swiftly maneuvering his hand away from my blade and wrapped his hand painfully around my wrist, causing me to drop my dagger onto my lap. Thankfully just as his other hand was reaching for the dagger on my lap, the trumpets blared signaling the King's arrival.

Everyone stood at attention upon the King's arrival which gave me enough time to quickly grab my dagger from my lap and conceal back underneath my dress. The King in question, King Vladeem I instantly recognize him from the screen on our ride to the castle.

Right after the king entered, another anonymous man came walking in without a care in the world. Handsome did not do him justice in description, if anything he was sexy as hell with a dark aura around him. With perfectly golden brown sun kissed skin, enigmatic grey eyes, and tousled unruly hair that seemed to fit him perfectly.
