Dinner

In the car to dinner I still thought about the words the voice said on the phone. Then the car came to a sudden stop. 'We are here' Roman informed me.
'Great, I am starving.' I joked.
He laughed differently then he usually does. I wonder if he is feeling ok?
We hopped out of the car and what I saw wasn't a restaurant it was the Eiffel Tower the icon of Paris. I looked at Roman and he pointed to the tip of the Eiffel Tower. I was still very confused.
We took an elevator to the tip where there was a beautiful restaurant with a table reserved for us. It was really amazing. 'What do you think?' He asked.
'This view is worth a million dollars, but I do not understand why you would do this for me?'
He looked straight into my eyes which made me feel weightless and nobody has ever had that effect on me. He looked down at his plate then back at me.
'Lauren never told you that we broke up did she?'
'What?' I said in pure shock.
'Yes, right before college. I broke up with her because I had developed strong feelings for somebody else and it was not her. I felt bad because I did use her to get closer to this person.' Roman explained.
'That was a terrible thing to do, but then she is not the nicest person in the world, and if you do not mind me asking who is she?'
