Chapter 2: Karma's A Bitch

Three Days Later...

I'm just in love with my kids. They're three days old now, it's crazy though, becaus it's so real. Like, damn. But Cassie and the babies came home from the hospital yesterday morning. My mom and Ms. K wanted to meet them yesterday but we said no, just so that Cassie could rest and all. But they're both coming by for lunch in a few minutes, so they'll finally meet their grandchildren.

Cassie- Thebe! 

Earl- Huh?

Cassie- Can you hold Victoria and get TJ up from his nap? I have to finish setting the table and getting the food ready.

Earl- Yea, no problem.

I walked over to Cassie and took Vicky out of her arms and walked to her and TJ's room to get him. I put Vicky down in her crib and walked over to Tj's crib and picked him up. His eyes opened and he let out a yawn. I smiled and started bouncing him.

Earl- Wassup lil' dude?

He just looked at me confused. I  laughed and picked up Victoria and walked them downstairs, and then the doorbell rang. Cassie hurried by me and went and opened it. 

Cassie- Hey!

I looked and it was my mom. She squeezed the shit out of Cassie, it was pretty funny.

TM- How are you?!

Cassie- I'm doing great, just a little sore.

TM- You think you feel pain? Yes, you had twins, but imagine squeezing a baby with a head as big as Thebe's out of a tiny hole!

Her and Cassie laughed.

TM- So where are my little grand babies?

Cassie- In the living room with Thebe.

As soon as they came to the doorway, I heard my mom gasp. I looked and she had tears coming down her face.

TM- OH MY GOD, THEY'RE SO PRECIOUS!

She rushed over and sat down on the couch next to me and stared at the babies in awe.

TM- Can I... can I hold them?

Thebe- Hi mom, how are you.

TM- Don't get smart, Thebe. 

Thebe- Whatever, mom. Here, but be super careful.

TM- Obviously.

I sucked my teeth and handed her the babies gently, one at a time. She looked down at the babies and smiled at both.

TM- Little Victoria is a beautiful, beautiful baby. You better watch out for when she's older, Thebe. And TJ is just so adorable! And he looks exactly like you, Thebe!

I smiled and saw Cassie in the doorway looking on. I stood up and walked to her and kissed her cheek. She smiled a little and led me to the kitchen.

Cassie- Thebe?

Earl- YEa?

Cassie- Do you think this was a mistake?

Earl- What?

Cassie- We have two kids and we're only 19..

Earl- And? What are we supposed to do, Cassie? They're here. Do you not love them?

Cassie- Of course I do, Thebe! But we're so young. We can barely take care of ourselves, and now we have to more responsibilities!

Earl- Are you kidding me right now?

Cassie- It's just so much! 

Earl- But you have help, you've got me, my mom, yourmom, and some of the wolves! You're not alone, like it's not like you're a single mother!

Cassie- Would you stop shouting at me! Damn it, Thebe!

She started crying and walked out the room. I wiped my face and sighd as I heard the doorbell ring. Mrs. K. I smiled and walked to the door and hugged her. 

Ms. K- WHERE'S MY GRANDCHILDREN?!

TM- Beat you to them Karina!

Ms. K- Darn it!

She laughed along with my mom.

TM- We're in here! Come meet the precious babies!

Cassie's mom smiled and went to the living room with my mom. They're both cryers, that's one thing for sure. It was actually funny to watch them cry together over babies. But I can see why.

TM- Hey, I'm starved, where's Cassandra?

Cassie- I'm here.

She smiled and went and hugged her mom and led us all to the dining room. She walkekd into the kitchen and came back out with different bowls of food.

TM- Ooh! Everything smells delicious! 

Mr.s K- What did you make, Cas?

Cassie- I made a caesar salad, some parmesan-garlic breadsticks and penne alla vodka.

TM- That sounds delicious. IS it okay to start eating?

Cassie- Yes, of course! But I'm gonna take Victoria and TJ to feed them, I don't wanna do it at the table in front of you and ruin your appetite.

Cassie giggled and took the babies and went out of the room.

Earl- I'll go help, with the babies. 'Scuse me.

I stood up and went upsairs to the babies. When I walked in, Cassie was sitting in the rocking chair breast-feeding Victoria and holding TJ at the same time. I went over and took Victoria and burped her while Tj was fed. Then I changed her diaper and held her.

Earl- Everything you cooked looks delicious, babe.

No answer. I looked at her.

Earl- Cassie, why are you even mad?

She ignored me and started talking to the baby.

Cassie- Tj, isn't your daddy so dumb? Yes, he is. He can be real stupid at times.

I rolled my eyes.

Earl- Stop being such a bitch, Cassie! I didn't do anyt-

Cassie- So I'm a bitch now? Okay, I'll remember that. Karma's a motherfucking bitch, Thebe. Just so you know.

She got up and took Victoria out of my arms and walked out the room. Damn it.

5 Hours Later...

Earl- Baby, I'm sorry as fuck. I didn't mean it.

Cassie - It's okay.

I rolled over and looked at her.

Earl- So you forgive me?

She smiled and kissed my cheek.

Cassie- Goodnight, Thebe.

Earl- Night.

I rolled over and fell asleep.

Cassie POV

Fuck Thebe. I swear, he's such a fucking asshole. And he should know better than when I say it's okay, it really means I still am pissed the fuck off. So remember when I said Karma's a bitch? Well, he's about to see how.  Just wait till he wakes up. It'll hit him.
