On the 22nd Day -
We were in the middle of our class when the peon knocked the door of our classroom "Ma'am. I have something for Sanyukta Aggarwal"I immediately stood up on my place and took the envelope from him. I opened the envelope and pulled out a neatly folded paper . There was a drawing of a couple holding each other's hand .
Randhir ❤️ Sanyukta
Forever .It was funny but I was not disappointed. In fact I was happy because just this simple gesture made my day.
Soon it was the 30th day of our relationship. It was a bright and a beautiful Sunday morning . I woke up earlier than my usual time . I had decided that it was now my turn to surprise him. I was going to confess my feelings to him. I walked upto his house and pressed the doorbell which was answered by his maid after few minutes.
"Hi ... could you please call Randhir ??", I asked her politely to which she just shook her head in response.
"Where is Randhir???", I asked her again and this time she handed me a letter.
I opened the letter immediately and started reading it.
Hi Sanyukta ,
Happy 30th Day-Sary. I know it's our last day today. Sorry I couldn't meet you as Im returning back to India with my family .
Actually there's so much I want to tell you but I don't know where to start from. Well, let me tell you a story...
Three years ago I saw a girl who was very pretty and very different from the other girls. She had the world's most beautiful smile. I admit I had a crush on her for a long time. And as the time passed by , my crush had turned into love. I decided to confess it to her one day but I guess I was too late. She already had a boyfriend. A few months later , I got to know that the guy wasn't serious about her and was two timing her with another girl. But I guess destiny plays its cards too well. I saw that girl crying in a park one day and I gave her my handkerchief. I wanted her to be happy so I became her rebound. I wanted to see her happy . I wanted to be the reason of her smile .... But I don't think that's possible now as I was just her rebound .
Thank you for giving me a chance, Sanyukta. These 30 days were the best days of my life. I just want you to know that I loved you then, I love you still and I promise I always will. I know we had to say our goodbye but I'll love you till the day I die.- Yours Randhir
