"Zack!" I exclaimed.

"Kendra?" Zack asked in disbelief  as we locked arms.

     "How- Are- When?" Zack stuttered.

"A week ago," I answered knowing what he meant.

"How's Jackie?" I asked try to keep the conversation going.

"A psycho," Zack answered looking ashamed.

"Aw, I'm always here if you need me, you'll always be my best fr-" I was cut off.

"Hey Zack what's up," the cute boy from that morning.

"Oh hey Conor how about throwing the football right next time!" Zack joked.

"Anyway you going to football practice tonight?" Conor asked eyeing me.

"Yeah, I was heading there right no-"

"Hey Zack I need a ride to practice could you take me?" Melanie interrupted with her heard of cows.

"Uh sorry I'm kinda busy right now," Zack shunned her getting frustrated and grabbed my arm.

"Bye, I guess?" I said to my friends who waved goodbye to me.

"Where are we going?" I asked getting curious.

"Somewhere outta this town," Zack smirked still grabbing onto my arm.

When I opened the car door we were in Santa Monica.

"So what's up?" I tried acting casual.

"I just wanted to get to talk with a normal person," Zack looked down. He seemed changed. Zack used to complain all the time but now he's more casual.

"So I guess you've got all the attention that you wanted," I smiled.

"No, I never wanted attention it's just that everyone expects everything from me," Zack became aggravated.

     "Oh, sorry," I apologized.

"No it's fine. It's me," Zack confessed.

"Hey, don't be ashamed. I can see why. That cute guy, those nasty girls, etcetera," I stated.

"What cute guy?" Zack looked up at me with his light brown eyes.

"Um,  he's blond and has blue eyes," I replied with a confused expression on my face.

"Oh Conor," Zack scoffed. He didn't seem to like Conor.

"What's wrong with him?" I asked.

     "I mean he's a little bit of a jerk but that's all," I chuckled.

"He's annoying and I don't trust him," Zack confessed.

     "Oh," I trailed off.

"Well, why are we just standing in the parking lot of Santa Monica? Lets hangout at the Café!" Zack smirked and took my arm again.

"You know my arm isn't the only option to grab!" I laughed and we walked into the Café.

"So any secrets?" Zack asked sipping his smoothie.

"Well-" I stopped thinking if I should tell Zack about my "condition".

     "Tell me!" Zack begged.
