"Sir, are you ready for the operation?" I hear said to me as I get in my uniform

"Is the patient?"The question was followed by silence."Ill take that as a yes."

The cold atmosphere of the room makes the situation stressful and treacherous yet the operation will be a success and the cure will come out a positive so I have nothing to worry about yet, I'm sweating.

I push the glass doors open to a pure white lab room with the patient on the gurney in front of me.Tubes running into his arm and the CT going *beep, beep* over and over like an alarm clock.I grab the syringe with the cure inside it and walk next to the patient. The patients chest was already pre-cut so it was easy to reach the lung and inject it. But I had to make sure I didn't puncture anything else or the syringe will be uncontaminated. The heart rate speeds up on the patient but not drastically.I inject his bronchi and pull the syringe out.The test results wont come in for a week but I already new.

                                                                            1.5 weeks later

"Congratulations Mr. Kayles, you just successfully cured someone from lung cancer."The scientists and nurses in the room boom out in cheer. The patient thanks me and walks out with his wife. One of my colleagues asks me if I would like to go to a bar with him.

"Thank you for the kind offer but, I don't drink."

"Aw you don't HAVE to drink alcohol. Aren't you a diet coke man?"

"Yes in deed, what time will it be?"

"7? 6? Hell we can go right now."Him saying something so enthusiastic like that had taken me back a bit.

"Sure!"

We head out to a karaoke bar and he orders a corn whiskey, while I on the other hand, get a diet coke.

"So I saw you with that lady the other day, have you found someone special? Huh?"

"Her names Mahri, but I'm pretty sure we wont become something special, I mean we barely know each other." That was one of the biggest lies I've ever told. I totally new we would be special, marriage is one the most special things in your life! But kids, are a different topic all on their own.
