I walked home,
just looking at my feet,
avoiding others.
I passed a small cafe,
that I used to go to with my friends,
they were all there,
sitting and drinking coffee.
"Hey Brooklyn!"
One called out.
"Come sit, have a coffee!"
She smiled inviting me over.
I sighed and gave in,
walking over to their table and sitting down.
"Golly gosh, we haven't seen you for ages!"
Molly stated wrapping me in a hug.
"God you're even smaller than I remember!"
They laughed.
I missed being friends with this lot,
not like my primary school friends,
these friends were my favorites,
the ones that cared.
