I got back into the house where I saw a cute blonde chatting up Whitney in the corner of the room. He seemed decent enough so I let him be and instead walked towards the kitchen to get another drink. Jeremy was no longer there, I guess things got a little heated. I don't even want to think about it. Ew.

I refilled my cup with some more of the mint vodka, I think, and started towards the dance floor.

I somehow managed to get in between the drunk, swaying bodies as I started moving to the beats of a song I didn't recognise. I felt a pair of hands on my hips but didn't show any signs of protest as they weren't doing anything too bad so instead I closed my eyes and continued to dance, gulping down whatever was left of the drink. I could feel myself getting tipsy but I didn't care. Jeremy could drive me back home, I'd kill him if he left me here.

I felt a hand on my ass as my eyes flew open but before I could say anything to the sleazy douche, I felt my eyes meet Jai's again. He was standing in the other end of the room, talking to some girl but looking at me then he looked at the guy who was grinding against me. I saw something flash in his eyes but didn't read to much into it. I mean, this isn't a goddam cheesy teenage love story. He's not gonna actually fall in love with me and we won't live happily ever after. No, I wasn't the sweet innocent goody two shoes. I was messed up, I had some major trust issues and was probably turning into an alcoholic.

He looked at me one last time before storming off again, leaving the, now annoyed looking, girl alone. I didn't understand him. What was this attitude? It was a little irritating, to be honest.

I got annoyed with the guy so desperately trying to get laid, so I left him there dancing alone and went over to look for Jeremy. Maybe he could make this party more fun.

I walked up the stairs of the house to look for Jeremy. Even though all I could see were guys trying hard to get their "respective" drunk girls to rooms to get some action. I walked past a few drunk jocks to bump straight into someone else. Great.

I thought the gorgeous hazel eyes that I looked into were Jai's but soon recognised the lip piercing and understood that the guy I bumped into was none other than the host of the party, Luke.

"Hey, beautiful." Luke said with a smirk as I giggled.

"Hey, handsome." I said trying to copy his smirk as he chuckled at me.

"What're you doing up here? I think the party's more happening downstairs, y'know?" Luke said looking around at the drunk guys and the desperate girls with disgust.

"I came up looking for Jeremy, do you know him?" I asked as he smiled nodding.

"Of course. So you're Jerry's girl?" Luke asked but I couldn't answer him as I finally spotted Jeremy at the corner, coming out of a room. So I guess he got laid tonight. Cue the shudder of disgust.

"Jer! Here!" I yelled over the music as Jeremy finally spotted me and grinned slyly before making his way towards me.

"Missed me, eh?" Jeremy asked swinging his arm around me as I snorted.

"Hell naw. I was just getting slightly bored." I said as he chuckled before looking towards Luke who was just looking at us with an amused smile.

"Hey, man." Jeremy said to Luke doing the man-shake. Get it? Man handshake? Man-shake? God, I'm hilarious.

"Hey, dude. I was just talking to- wait, what's your name? I can't believe I forgot to ask your name." Luke replied chuckling. I guess, he was drunk too.

"I'm Kayla."

"Luke." He replied as he ignored my hand hanging in the air for a handshake and instead engulfed me into a bear hug. A little touchy feely, I see.

"Okay. I think that's enough." Jeremy said pulling me back before throwing his arm around my shoulder again. There we go, with the brotherly protectiveness again. Like, come on, it was a goddamn hug.

"Haha, don't worry, Jerry. I'll try and not be a threat to your relationship." Luke said before throwing me a wink as Jeremy gave him a confused look. Ohh.

"Actually, we're just friends. I would have told you but I spotted this funny guy." I said pointing towards Jeremy as Luke nodded muttering an "oh".

"Well, yay me." Luke said with another flirty grin making me giggle yet again.

"She's still not sleeping with you or dating you, mate." Jeremy said pulling me closer making me scoff.

"We'll see, jerry. We'll see." Luke said before blowing me a kiss and walking off downstairs.

I giggled before turning to Jeremy who gave me a playful glare.

"I'm serious, Ky. Even though Luke is a good guy and shit but there's no denying that he is a player. I don't want him to hurt you." Jeremy said grabbing me by my shoulders and looking seriously into my eyes.

"Don't worry, Jer. You know me. I don't do one night stands and neither do I do love.. Anymore." I said gazing at my oh-so interesting shoes.

"I know." Jeremy replied, pulling me into a hug and placing a kiss on my forehead.

"So if you're done with the mushy crap, can we get some drinks and dance our friggin' asses off?" I asked, being mock-serious at the last part.

"Let's go, sexy!" Jeremy said turning me around and placing his hands on my shoulders, pushing me down the stairs.

"Using me as a shield, how gentlemanly of you!" I said, sarcasm dripping from my voice as he chuckled still pushing me through the crowd.

We entered the hallway and straight away went started to walk towards the drink section.

"So, did you get lucky?" I said wiggling my eyebrows as he gave me a knowing smirk.

"Why? Feeling jealous, are we?" Jeremy said still smirking.

"You wish." I snorted at which he chuckled and poured the drink in two plastic cups, handing one to me whilst taking one for himself.

"So, Ky, wanna dance?" Jeremy whispered in my ear smirking.

"You wish." I said copying his smirk as he chuckled before snatching my drink and keeping it on the nearest table and grabbing me by the hand before pulling me on the dance floor.

"Well then, you asked for it, Jer." I said as I started to dance in the most horrid way I could. I flapped my arms and kicked my legs out one at a time whilst Jeremy just looked embarrassed to be with me. I laughed at his expression as I continued to dance when my eyes caught Jai's. He was looking at me with a lopsided smile which I returned. Probably having realised that he was smiling towards me, he instantly looked away and walked out of the room.

Okay, I am officially done being nice to Jai Brooks. He can go hook up with a monkey for all I care.
