"Oh fuck you!" Michael shouts, before grabbing his keys and storming out. The harshness of the door being slammed shook the walls, and made Luke and Levi jump.

The fifteen year old let out a shaky breath. He couldn't really make out what the argument between his dads was about, but he didn't like it.

Luke sobbed into his hands and curled into a ball on the floor near the steps, where Luke had been standing last. He didn't even notice Levi's light steps or the arms that wrapped around Luke. Levi whispered in his dad's ear, "It's okay."

Once six hours had passed, Luke grew nervous. He was pacing back and forth across the living room, chewing furiously on his nails and mumbling under his breath. Levi stood up and walked over to his pacing father, "Dad's okay. He's probably at Calum's for the night or something."

"I already asked Calum, he said Michael isn't there." Luke rambled, holding up his phone as if to prove something to the teen.

"He probably went to grandma's," Levi shrugged, growing slightly worried himself.

"I'll call her," Luke sighed. As he unlocked his phone and clicked on his contacts, the phone started ringing. Luke knew the number -- it was the hospital's number.

Shakily, he answered, "Hello?"

"Is this Luke Clifford speaking?" A woman spoke into the phone.

"This is him." Luke said. He sent Levi a worried look, tears pooling in his eyes. Levi felt his heart pound in his chest, fearing the worst.

Levi only watched, hoping for the best. He watched as his dad gave short responses and tried not to cry. He finally hung up and turned to his son, "We have to go to the hospital."

-

The ten minute drive felt like hours. It was silent and the only noises heard were Luke's sniffles and sobs as well as other cars passing by.

Luke didn't want to see his husband in a hospital bed with wires and tubes attached to him, neither did Levi.

"C-Can we see Michael Clifford?" Luke choked out once they made it to the front desk.

The lady smiled sadly and typed, before telling Luke only family could see him. "I-I'm his husband, this is our son." Luke tells her, sniffling a bit.

"Oh! Okay. He's on floor eight, room two hundred twenty-five." She said, before handing the two visitors passes.

"He's going to be okay, dad." Levi assured once they were in a elevator. There was a doctor and a man with his wife in the elevator as well, and watched the two blonds with admiration. It's rare they see a kid comforting a parent, it was always the other way around.

"But what if he isn't, Lee?" Luke sobbed, falling onto his son's shoulder. "They said he's in critical condition, he could die."

"Don't think like that, dad." Levi shakily said, trying to ignore his father's words and focus on only his other dad being okay. "Dad will be okay. It might not even be as serious as they say it is."

Luke nodded, and wiped his eyes as the elevator stopped. "Yeah. He's okay. He's strong. Your dad's a fighter, he'll make it through this."

"That's the spirit," Levi whispered, before looking for signs to point out specific room numbers.

Once they found it, they saw a man in a coat leave the room. Startled, the man greeted the boys with a smile. "Hello. How are you?"

"We're okay. Can we see Michael?" Luke answered.

"Just for a moment," The doctor hesitated, before opening the door up. Luke and Levi nodded, going in silently.

The doctor remained at the door, until he had to tell them to leave. Luke sat in the chairs in. the hall and cried. People leaving or going to see their loved ones gave Luke sympathetic smiles and continued walking on.

Meanwhile, Levi was speaking to Michael. He was quietly pleading for him to wake up so everything would be okay until he had to leave too.

The doctor went over some stuff with Luke, and as the doctor walked away, Michael came out of the room.

Alarmed, the doctor turned around thinking one of the blonds had gone back in, but was shocked when he saw Michael standing by Luke.

"Mr. Clifford-" The doctor began, rushing over. Michael weakly held up a hand and smiled, before turning to Luke and hugging him even though it hurt, whispering in his ear.

"I love you, I didn't mean anything I said." He whispered.

"I love you," Luke sobbed, "Don't do that ever again."

"I'm okay," Michael said, kissing Luke softly, "I'm okay, and believe me, I'm not leaving like that ever again."
