My hands started to get clammy and a lump started to form in my throat.
"Ummm...." I looked down at my worn-out shoes.
"I was-"
"Are you ok?" he asked walking closer, as I backed up.
"Are you ok?" he repeated. He was now in arms length of me.
"Yeah - I uh I gotta go." and with that I took off, running away from the arena. I stopped once I reached a bakery. I saw that it was open 24/7 and took a step in.
The aroma of cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods filled my nostrils.
"Hmmm." I hummed.
I sat down at a table and a waiter walked up to me.
"Hi! Welcome to Lava Java, my name's Brianna. Here's your menu and I'll be back to take your order." she smiled before walking back behind the counter.
I looked through to find something affordable and decided on a chocolate chip muffin.
While waiting for my food to arrive, I stared out the window showcasing the buzzing city.
