Jodelyn

"Say it again," Jace mutters, turning into a tickle monster, forcing me to burst into tiny giggles.

"No," I tease as I softly grab his hands in an attempt to stop him from tickling me.

"Trust me, Jodie, I wouldn't say no if I were you," he whispers, slowly planting soft kisses at the side of my neck and turning me on big time.

"Nuh uh."

"Please Jo, one more time before I go for work," he grumbles and tickles me again and I finally give up.

"Alright, alright," I surrender as my laughter subsides.

I'm silent for a moment as I stare at Jace, his eyebrows raised.

"Well?"

I close my eyes before mumbling, "Jace is a sexy beast."

"That's my girl!" Jace exclaims and smiles that smile I have grown to adore for the past few years, eyes lighting up and embracing me as I snuggle closer to his warm body before he pulls away reluctantly.

"I love you munchkin," he kisses my nose and I smile.

"Love you most, snuggly bear."

"Now, be sure to be safe on the pathway, okay? I won't be around this time, so be careful. Winter seasons are the worst. If a snowfall occurs, take shelter immediately. Text me when you reach the coffee shop, and when you finish work, call me.-"

"Jo-"

"-Keep clear of any icy paths, cars, and all vehicles. Wear your helmet at all times no matter how silly you look-"

"Jodie!" Jace stops my rant and moves closer to me.

"What?"

"You're ranting again."

"I know, I know, I'm worried for you and-"

"Relax, everything's going to be fine. I will be safe. It's not like I'm gonna fall over some icy path and crack my head-"

"Jace! Don't curse yourself like that," I mumble, breaking out in a sweat despite the cold outside.

"I'm sorry," he buries his head into his shirt.

"It's fine, now go to work." I push him away and he pouts.

"I'd rather stay at your home and keep you company," he mumbles.

"Jace,"

"Jodie,"

"You sure you don't wanna follow me, sunshine?"

"I told you, I have a date with my friend. Tomorrow, okay?"

Jace breaks out in a grin at the mention of tomorrow, "Okay."
