Luna's POV:

I scoffed as I saw the guards standing by my bedroom as I leave to get myself some snacks. My dad ordered me to stay in my room because there is an "emergency" going on. Don't get me wrong, I love my dad but sometimes he can get... way overprotective over nothing. I remember when I was 7, he took me to a museum and he lost me while I was wandering around because there was too many people. He had the museum in lockdown in a minute and had his guards search the whole area for me.

One guard stopped me before I can get 4 feet away from my room,
"Where are you going, Miss Lorenzo?" He asked politely but I can see the hesitance in his eyes,

"I'm just going to get some snacks, I've been locked in that room all morning and I haven't had breakfast yet." I explained, he furrowed his eyebrows as if he's in deep thought if he should let me go or not.

"Look, you can escort me there but I'm really hungry." I sighed, he nodded and we proceed to the kitchen. I hate having bodyguards they feel like stuff robots following me around because they're scared that my dad will put a bullet through their heads.

I opened the fridge to get some milk and poured it in a glass. I sliced some apples and bananas and prepared a bowl of oatmeal.

I awkwardly looked at the guard as he just stared at me as if he was scared that something bad will happen, but I'm safe right?

"LUNA!"

Ugh. Dad.

I quickly ran to his room, the guard following me closely. I raised my fist to knock but it was already opened revealing a guy with soft dark brown locks, round dark eyes and pink pouty lips. I didn't real is I was staring at him until I heard my father's voice,

"Luna, come in please."

I slowly made my way in front of his desk and clasped my hands behind my back.

"Yes, Dad?"

"I want you to meet Kai here," he gestured to the man who opened the door, "he will be taking care of you for... uh a while. Kai, you already know my only daughter here, Luna."

"Yes, sir." Kai replied, his voice deep but also soft at the same time.

"Wait- what do you mean he's 'taking care of me'?" I asked staring confused at my dad,

He sighed before saying, "Luna, you and Kai will be moving to another country until it's safe for you again."

"...what?!" I almost shrieked, "you're letting me live with a stranger that I don't know?"

Dad walked closer to me and cupped my cheeks, "I will never put you in the hands of someone that I know can't protect you. Kai is my best agent here. He will do everything to protect you and only you. I trust him." He said before kissing my forehead, I sighed as I hugged him.

"Okay, I'll miss you though." I muttered,

"I'll miss you more, sweetie. Now go pack you bags, you will be leaving tonight for Italy."
My eyes widened in excitement and immediately running to my room, not noticing someone's eyes burning through my head.
