"So, that was it. I'm officially staying extra hours at school for detention. Great!" I thought. The bell to first period rang and I was walking to Study Skills. The late bell didn't ring yet, so I was in luck. The day went by as fast as rain dropping from the gray clouds. So, when we all went to dismissal, I was in the main office. I had to call my parents, tell them I got detention, and I... lied! "Hi mom. I was just calling to tell you I have extra math tutoring so you can come pick me up at around 5. Good? Okay, bye." Those were the exact words I said. I wasn't too happy about it, but I'd explain when I'd go home. I got out of the main office and was on my way to "math tutoring".
