The man with glasses waited for his ordered a couple minutes ago. He checked his watch and it was 12:34 P.M, he sighed, he was hungry and hadn't even had breakfast, not even coffee. He could see the young lady working there putting in chunks of ice for his drink. She walked up to him making sure everything was perfect.
"Here is your Mai Tai, and I'll be right out with your food." "Thank you," he said.
He removed his glasses and rubbed his eyes. A gentleman sat besides him. It looked like he was waiting for someone. The man with glasses turned his trying to watch the T.V.
"Hey, aren't you the investigator who used to get the high-rated X-Files?" The man rubbed his head, "Ya, it is you." "Yup it's all me," the man with glasses said. "I've never see Investigator Arima lurking around these local bars." "How did you know my name?" "Well I've read a lot about you over the years."
"Well my foods here, and uh, whats your name good sir?" "It's Cain, nice to meet you Investigator Arima." "Nice to meet you to Cain."
Arima heard a unfamiliar horn noise that made him wake up. "Oh, that's my ride." Cain waved off with a smile on his face.
"Here is your food sir," the girl with beautiful blonde hair said. He smiled, "Thank you!" Arima started eating like he'd never eaten food before. The food tasted good, the chicken was good, the fries were good, and especially the Tai. He didn't really care about the taste, he was happy he could eat at least. He was stressed out by the new case that came up. It was impossible to solve and he couldn't get the right lead.
He was at his last sips of his Tai, until he got a call. It was the chief, "You should get back to the office, I think you'll like what we found about the case. Arima grabbed his pocket and grabbed all the money he could get. He placed it all on the counter up front. Arima took a cigarette out and lit it up. He unlocked the car, and pulled the freezing handle of the car.
He opened the window and let all the freeze get in the car. He even forgot his work coat which was pretty warm. He heard a *ding* on his phone, and saw it was a text message from Uri, his partner. He never liked partners but the chief forced him to have one. They did many cases together so it made them have a good friendship. The text read "Where are you? We need you right now." "Starting up the car, shouldn't be long, I'm close." I started up the engine and took a deep breath as the wheels on the car started work. They made a noise which made Arima wonder if the car was to old to old to be driven. It's been a while since he got the car.
"This should do it." He closed his personal diary which didn't have anything special in it.
He reached work right on time. Arima tilted his head up and saw that the sign was still not see-able.

FanfictionI didn't feel that much about the last book so it won't have that much work as it does on this one. I don't know I just wanted to write something suspensy.
