Chapter 3

One Week Later...

Shenell POV

It's been a week since I was in the hospital and August was with me everyday until visiting hours were over and he had to go home but he was always back the next morning.

We were currently in August's car on the way to his house and as we pull up to his gate as he punch in numbers so that the big gates were open as he drove in and parked in the driveway.

"Welcome tuh ma crib" he said looking at me.

"It's really really big" I said in a disbelief tone.

"Thanks I just like alot of space"

His house was huge.
As he got out of the car and he came over to my side and open the car door for me and I got out. As we walked up to the house he pull out his keys and open the door but as soon as the doors were open a girl came running down the stairs jumping onto August hugging him.

"Hey Bae I missed you" she said to August I was pretty confused right now.

"I know you did ma but I have someone I would like you to meet" he said pulling me in front of him "This is Shenell and she is going to be staying with us for a while"

she extended her hand out for me to shake it " Hi Shenell I'm Amy its nice to meet you "

"Likewise" was all I could say. I know I shouldn't be upset with August because we're just friends but he could have at least told me he had a girlfriend because if I knew that I sure wouldn't have let his ass talked me into staying here.

"Imma go and show her where she'll be staying" August said to Amy.

August walk through the house as I followed him to the back where a pool was and to the other side of the house where there was a small house.

"This is my man cave, I come here to relax and get away you know, But while you were in the hospital I got it cleaned up for yah" He said showing me around the house.

"Why didn't you tell me you had a girl, I would've never came her if I know you had a girlfriend how akward do you think this makes me feel" I said trying not to sound jealous.

"I'm sorry aight but I guess it never cross my mind when I'm with you" he said smiling "and you never asked"

" lame ass" I said as we both laugh. "But thanks I appreciate but as soon as I get me a job imma be out"

"Cool but do you want to go by Shane's house so you can get your things"

"No It's straight I can go get my things by myself"

"Hell naw! I ain't about to sit here while you go and getcha things with that nigga there what if he trys and put his hands on you again and I wanna be there to kill him when he does"

I swear he was something else.
"Fine but will be in and out of there in no time"

As we arrived to Shane's house I use my key that I had to open the door and their he was sitting on the couch.

As August saw him he start to bit his bottom lip and clench his fist.

I cleared my throat so that Shane could see us standing there.
As he saw us he guickly got up and walk towards me and of course he started to apologize as usual.

"Hey baby I'm so sorry really I didn't mean to hit you I just snap you know I love you right I've missed you where have you been I ain't seen you in a week" while he was talking I could hear august behind me chuckling.

"Well if you may know I've been in the hospital because of you and I'm tired of hearing the same fucking apology over and over which your ass don't even mean, but I'm not about to stand here and listen to you I'm just here to get my things and go"

I said trying to walk pass him but he grab my hand " Hell no you ain't going no where"

"Let go of me!"

By this time August was already in front of Shane.

" The lady said she don't want you bruh just let her get her things so we can be on our way" August said trying to hold his temper.

"And who the fuck are you and why your ass at my house man"

August grab him by his shirt collar slamming him against the wall "Go and get yah things" he said to me.

As ran through the house packing all my clothes and things I was finish in like 15 minutes as I came back out Shane was on floor knocked out as August lean against the door.

"What happened here?" I asked confused while dragging my suitcases to the door.

"His was starting to get disrespectful so I put him in his place and knock him out for a bit,
don't worry he ain't dead he'll be up in a few hours but he is going to wake up with a badass headache"

"Thank you he needed it" I said laughing.

August got my bags from me as walked to the car.

As we got in the car August spoke "you hungry? because I can really use some Popeyes chicken right nah"

"Yea I love Popeyes that's my favorite"

"Girl quit lying Popeyes my favorite I can eat it all day long, the fuck I'm talking bout I do eat it all day because Amy can't even cook man" he said laughing.

"Awww the poor baby wants a home cook meal" I said in a baby voice teasing him as we drove off to Popeyes.

"Quit playing man, but I do I ain't gonna lie it's been forever since I ate proper food, Can you cook?"

"Real funny August but yes I can cook but sometimes I just don't feel like it and I just buy some takeout instead"

"Aight cool so you gon' cook fa me" he said smirking.

I swear he's always playing but I like that thou I feel like I can just be myself around aug.

"Nigga I ain't Your girl but I don't mind I actually love cooking"

He just smile while keeping his eyes on the road.
