Someone to Help

Archie was flipped out. He wasn't paying attention to where he was going. He heard the man calling behind him, his dog barking. Archie turned a corner and hid in the trees. A bit later the man's dog was coming over. Archie was scared, he thought it was over.

Surprisingly, the she was friendly. She said," It's okay... I'm not going to hurt you. My owner might though. Sarah, and you are?" she trailed off waiting for an answer. Archie told Sarah his name and the two talked for a long time. Then Archie said," I'm here because your owner kidnapped someone I know. Please don't kill me..." Archie whimpered, waiting for the worst.

Sarah said," I won't kill you," she laughed," I hate my owner, he treats me like crap. I would do anything to make him mad..." Archie was happy, he had made a friend, maybe a bit more... 

Archie and Sarah talked battle plans. Sarah said," I saw the boy you're looking for. My owner had him in the shack and then took him." Archie was now glad he had her as a friend," Which way did he take him?" He said knowing things would be back to normal soon. Sarah answered," That way." She was looking down a path that led into the woods.

The owner came outside and called Sarah, she didn't come. Then he left without her and went down the path. Archie gave Sarah a hopeful look. She knew what it meant. It meant they had to go into the woods. Archie hoped for a happy ending... but that wouldn't come for them all.
