The Boy Next Door

♡ Chapter 5 ♡

About half way through the class the English teacher made us partner up. I was put with Eleanor. She actually seemed nice, not like the other bitchy popular kids. Our assignment was to put together a debate; we were against Danielle and Perrie.

“Hi I’m Eleanor!” she said smiling.

“Coco” I said returning the smile

“OOHHH, like Chanel. Your new here right? From America” She said with an even brighter smile.

“Aha, yeah I am!” I replied and we both started laughing.

“Okay, so I wanna beat Dani and Perrie so let’s do this!” she replied with enthusiasm.

We decided that the debate was going to be about why animals should be in zoo’s or shouldn’t. We were con and Dani and Perrie were pro. During class I learned so much about the school gossip! Eleanor was dating a boy named Louis, I’m pretty sure he is Harry’s bestfriend. Perrie is dating Zayn and Danielle is dating Liam. I was amazed by how nice and open Eleanor was.

We found out that we had French class together next too! She said I should sit with her and I didn’t object. The bell rang and we headed off to French. Harry, Niall and a girl named Krista were in the class. Eleanor said she didn’t like Krista but Harry and she were close so she just put up with it. So because of Krista we sat at the other end of the class. French was almost over and lunch was about to begin when I started to worry. I had nowhere to sit when lunch started. I think Eleanor noticed me starting to pack and asked me to sit with them. I had no reason to object. Even though Harry would be there, it would be nice to have some friends.

Then it hit me. I was about to sit with the populars. Ew. But then again, Eleanor, Perrie and Danielle didn’t seem like your average popular bitches. The bell rang and I followed Eleanor to their table.

“Boys, this is Coco. Coco, the boys” Eleanor said as she sat down.

“I’m Louis.” A boy with brown hair said smiling. Eleanor kissed him and they smiled at each other.

“Get a room. Hi, I’m Zayn.” A boy with a perfectly chiselled face said. I laughed at his comment.

“And I’m Liam!” The other boy said.

“Nice to meet all of you.” I said smiling.

“So you’re American right?” Asked Liam.

All the boys looked at me.

“Yeah, New York City.” I said smiling.

“The big apple” a boy with blonde hair and a thick Irish accent said as he sat down.

Then the other girls came over. They sat down next to their boyfriends and I ended up sitting next to Eleanor and Harry. Krista was sitting on the other side of Harry and then next to the blonde kid.

“I’m Niall by the way” the blonde boy said.

“Coco.” I replied smiling.

“Coco, like Coco Puffs, that’s really funny” Krista said.

“Oh yeah and Coco, that’s Krista” Dani said giving her a look. I was guessing the other girls didn’t really like Krista. I could see why. She was the definition of popular bitch.

“Hi...” Krista said not even looking up from her phone. I saw Niall and Louis exchange a look likWTF? I just ignored her.

"I'm Harry but we've met" he said laughing. The others looked confused except Louis. Luckily everyone shook it off.

Eating lunch with them was fun. Louis would crack jokes, Liam would keep everyone calm and they were all very chill. Except Krista and Harry. Krista would give bitchy faces when I talked and kept going on her phone. Not to mention she asked me how many carbs were in my fries. I replied with a lot. She rolled her eyes while everyone else laughed. Harry kept annoying me because he kept toughing my thighs and drawing circles with his finger on my lower back. He did it so sneakily that no one noticed. I kept shooing off his hand. After lunch I headed off to my next two classes, Marketing and History. I had Dani, Liam and Niall in my Marketing and then I had Zayn, Perrie and Eleanor in my History. SCORE! I got all of their numbers and Eleanor invited me to hang with them on Thursday. I was finally starting to make new friends. I felt so much better about this move now. Things were starting to fall into place.
