"starry nights, city lights coming down over me. Skyscrapers, stargazers in my head."
Ugh, I can't seem to fall asleep. Its a beautiful clear night with a view to die for. But I don't care, I see it every night okay? All those lights, I know them by now. When I was a little cub I used to love em. Begged my mom to let me stay up so I could watch em. But now, I feel sick of the same old lights and I just want to sleep.
Suddenly, I hear a faint roar.
What?!
I'm fully awake now. Did I really just hear that? I look around. My pack is sleeping peacefully. I seem to be the only one awake at this time. Well, if you don't count the mystery roarer. I wait. After 5 minutes I get restless, maybe it was nothing after all. But then I hear it again. A soft roar in the distance, and its not coming from one of the sleeping beauties before me.
This calls for some research. If my pack is in danger I need to know. No such thing had ever happened before. I'm exited, maybe I finally have a chance to prove myself, or at least make my life a little less boring. I'll find out zoon enough.((Oh little Lion, be careful what you wish for))
