Three children are sitting on a log near a stream one of them looks up to the sky and says, in a dull tone, "How long have we been here?" Max who is sitting on the far left of the log. Pushed his black rimmed glasses up the bridge of his nose while letting out a long sigh, replied to Jack who was sitting in the middle of the three friends, " About an hour, why are you bored?" Jack didn't know why but Max's words were laced with venom. Alice the only female of the group, who sat on the far right of the log, looked over to friends in concern and could tell something was wrong. Alice wanted to know what was bothering Max but she kept her burning curiosity to herself. If only she had asked what was wrong that day, it may have saved Max's life.
