Roses POV: (for whole chapter wow no changing that's so rare wow Jaime I'm impressed by you)

I smile and laugh just a little. "I'll see you, Rémy. Dress nice, and make Logan dress nice for me, alright" "whatever you say mademoiselle~" he replies. "I'll see you in an hour" he adds before I hear the telltale click of him ending the call.

I pocket my phone, my smile still clear. I hadn't seen them all together in a while. I had seen Logan recently, but I hadn't seen Rogue or Rémy or Bobby. And the last time I saw Kitty she was what? 13? She was nineteen now, fully able to go to a billionaires birthday party. Though, if I caught her or Bobby drinking...

I chuckled at myself. I was practically the older sister of the X-men, wasn't I? I'd say mom, but Ororo had me there.

Long story short, I missed my friends, my... family. I pulled my phone out of my pocket again to call caterers and a DJ. I got one I had used before, because he knew my taste. He'd play everything from Planetary to I'm Like a Lawyer to Nicotine.

"You can bring your boyfriend if you want, Josh. I haven't seen Tyler in a while" I add, smiling. "Uhh.. actually, he's not just my boyfriend... I proposed a while ago..." he says, almost shyly. I beam. "Oh wow! Great! You'll have to tell me about it." I say happily. "Well, I'll see you there" he replies. "8:30 sharp" I remind him. "Goodbye" we both say and I laugh a little before hanging up.

Oh damnit...

"I'm not even wearing a bra right now!" I exclaim to myself. "That was evident, miss." S.A.S.S replies. I quickly stand up from the couch and head upstairs.

What the hell am I going to wear?

I'm just finishing putting my hair up when S.A.S.S tells me that my 'decorating party' had arrived. I hurry down the stairs, yet another bright side to not having heels. I open the door and immediately get a hug from Rogue.

"You've got to call more often, sugar" she teases and I smile, hugging her back. "All I have is Rémy to keep me entertained..." she jokes as she pulls away, and I laugh as the man himself walks up to stand beside her. "Well, chère, I do my best." He replies and takes her gloved hand in his. She just shakes her head. "Of course you do, sugar, but a lady needs some girl time every once and a while" she says and I chuckle. "Nice seeing you two acting SO in love" I say sarcastically. "Don't you go saying things like that, you'll excite him." Rogue jokes before they both walk further into the house.

"Bobby! Just the man I need" I greet the 20 year old. "I know, I know, my expertise is needed for your birthday." He says smugly. "Happy birthday, by the way." He adds, handing me an ice rose and grinning. "Great! Now make one 15 times as big" I retaliate and grin at him. I open my arms and he immediately comes forward and hugs me.

"God, Rose, you gotta help me. You were the only good source of wit and sarcasm at the school and now I'm stuck with Summers!" He whispers urgently and I laugh. "Sounds like a you problem, Bobby~" I tease. "Exactly what I've been missing. Keep going." He replies jokingly as I roll my eyes and he pulls away, grinning wildly. "I missed you too, kid" I tell him, and as he passes I mess up his hair. "I'm not a kid anymore" I hear him mutter and I reply "you'll always be a kid to me" as I look at the next person.

"Kitty my goodness, you've grown a foot at least!" I exclaim. "Thanks, mom" she says rolling her eyes and giving me a quick hug, walking right through me towards the other three. I laugh a bit to myself at her behaviour, knowing she wanted to impress me because I can feel her still looking at me. "I'm impressed" I say, not looking back.

"As am I." Charles says and I look down at him. "You're doing so well, Rose. All of my students love the new technology by the way." He continues. "Though, I am concerned about your current sleeping pattern, or lack thereof." He adds, a playful glint in his eye. "I thought when the kids moved out of their parents house they could do whatever they wanted, free of telepathy." I reply sarcastically. "Yeah well we're no normal family" Bobby interrupts from behind me. Charles chuckles and holds his hand out. I shake it warmly, smiling.

"Happy birthday, my dear." He says, smiling back at me. I begin to ask a question when I hear a gruff: "She's my sister, why did I have to be in the back?" And my smile lights up even more. Charles is already out of the way and I quickly go forwards into Logan's arms. He reacts in shock for a second before returning the hug. "Hey, sis." He greets and I can tell he's smiling. I hold on for a fair bit longer. "Hello Logan, I missed you." I say quietly as I pull away and he nods a little. "Missed you too, Rose. and Bobby is right, you have to come to the mansion more often." He scolds and I just shake my head a little. "Yeah, yeah. But I really wanted you guys to visit this mansion" I say, turning around as Logan joins the group of mutants.

Rémy clears his throat. "Were also here to do your decorating, Rose." He reminded me with a grin. I shrug my shoulders. "It's not like you aren't invited to the party." I remind him. I bite my lip but then open my mouth.

"But, given that... I still do need decoration...lets get started!"
