A/N Hi everyone! So its my first story on my new account! Yay! So like most of my fanfics on my other account I spent quite awhile trying to make this fanfic as original as possible and I hope that I have succeeded! I must warn you now that I will be taking writers priviledges with Norse Mythology on this one and adding my own spin to a few things! So make sure to check my author notes because I will be making sure to fill you in on what I have changed! I hope you enjoy this, it is my first time writing Avengers fanfiction so I hope I do ok! If I get anything wrong just let me know! Its easy to forget certain details no matter how hard you try! Thanks guys!

A bright light appeared in an alley in a small town in New Mexico. As it shimmered in the moonlight a man appeared out of the back of a restaurant, he held in his hands two bags of garbage that he was going to dispose of in the dumpster when his eyes caught sight of the portal. It shimmered with electric blue light and then began to spark and move, all of a sudden something came flying through the portal and hit the ground with a thud.

“By the gods that hurt.” A female voice groaned as she raised herself back to her feet.  She was clad entirely in leather and as she turned the heels of her boots clicked on the damp pavement. The man watched in awe as the leather clad beauty came full circle and caught sight of him. He gulped as she focused her steel gaze on the man.

“You.” She said commandingly raising a finger at the man who looked around nervously and then gave a shaky reply.

“…Yes?” the bags slipped from the man’s hands as he spoke and the woman watched them fall to the ground with an annoyed glance that she then returned to the man.

“Is this Midgard?” She growled impatiently as the man just stared at her. “Answer me!” She yelled suddenly and the man jumped.

“I… I have no idea what you are talking about.” The man stuttered out finally and the woman rolled her eyes.

“Stupid mortals… what do they call this forsaken rock again?” She said to herself as she thought and then trained her gaze back on the man. “Earth! Is this Earth?” She asked and the man nodded quickly. The woman gave a slight smirk before turning her back on the man and walking down the alley, her heels clacking as she went.

Thor sat on the couch in Jane Fosters London flat. He could hear Jane in the kitchen making breakfast, he was about to get up to help her when something on the news caught his attention. It was a shot from a helicopter, the camera was looking down at a familiar place in New Mexico where a very tall woman, with dark brown hair and pale skin stood clad in leather screaming at the sky.

Thor unmuted the television and listened intently to the commentary. The news reporter was droning on about how Police were trying to talk down a woman in her mid-twenties who was standing screaming at the sky and had been every few hours since she had appeared in the town late the night before. “Jane come in here quickly.” Thor said his eyes never leaving the tv. He heard Jane moving quickly in the kitchen and then felt her sit next to him.

“What is it? What’s going on?” She asked and Thor pointed to the tv right as it began to get interesting. The police were yelling at the woman to stand down, and as they did so a great wave of wind picked up dust and flung one of the police cruisers forty feet across the sandy ground. The other officers then opened fire, but the bullets were stopped by a globe that surrounded the woman.

“Thor, is that an Asgardian?” Jane asked him, but Thor was no longer listening. He stood up and walked to the side closet to retrieve his armor and hammer, he was gearing up when the phone rang. Jane answered it and then came quickly over to Thor. “It’s for you, its Director Fury apparently.” Jane said as Thor finished putting on his armor and took the phone.
