Chapter One

Adi (age 23) is sitting in front of a lake, situated alongside his residence area, a small but very beautiful area. He's wearing ripped jeans, long sleeve black shirt with half of the buttons open which are showing the locket at his neck. The little air around is brushing his brunette messy hair, with a cigarette between his fingers and lips he is watching the sun disappearing in the water far away, in deep thoughts he barely hearing the birds going to their homes, so much lost in himself he doesn't even realize someone is calling his name out aloud from far enough to reach his voice to him shouting, he remains insane from the world around for long enough.

Then he turns suddenly feeling a hand on his shoulder, standing behind him is Bansi (age 15), is panting after had run for a long way to here.

"Adi..." Bansi says trying to control his heavy breath.

"I told you to not come after me" says Adi interrupting him with anger "Don't you understand what I say..."

"Anya's back!" now Bansi has interrrupted him.

Adi looks at him, complete silence.

"I swear Adi, I swear on Dad"

Adi stands up on his feet after hearing this, looking at Bansi he grabs his collar in one hand.

"I am telling the truth" afraid Bansi says, Adi sees in his eyes questioningly and Bansi nods.

"If this is a lie..." says Adi closing the cigarette to Bansi's face who steps aback frightened "Then you know me" Bansi is not capable of speaking anymore, scared he remains in silent while Adi leaves his collar and gives the cigarette in his hand, looking in his eyes another time he starts to walk towards his home, feeling inside that Bansi's saying the truth, Bansi immediately throws the cigarette and turns to see Adi who's now running, to his home.

Rao, Bansi's father who runs a grocery shop in this town the only one shop here actually, sees Adi passing his shop in a quick run, Rao smiles after him remembring Adi's repeating words -Anya will come back one day Rao, my heart says so-

"I told him Dad" Bansi says enetering the shop.

"I know, I saw him running towards his home side" says Rao watching his son.

"He will be so happy Dad"

"He will" Rao says happily.

Anya (age 22) is standing on the pier watching the lake, with arm crossed she's waiting for Adi in front of his home, her brunette long hair are tied in a clip, wearing black blouse with pencil pants and sandels she glances behind her at his small home, which is locked right now, all memories of the past are running in her mind, she remembers it all as it was yesterday but... she turns her face again to the lake which is getting dark and dark with every second.

Adi arrives home and his feet stops watching Anya, now sitting on the pier with her back to him, He's not able to move finding her in front of his eyes after long long long 12 years, in the same time Anya turns her head feeling his presence, as soon as she sees him she stands up slowly, Adi remains still as before after looking her face, both of them remains to watch each other in their places without any movement or talking, remembring 12 years ago when her parents brought her to America with them for buisness sake, still watching each other in the same way, Adi feels own eyes filled.

"Damn it!" he brings a smile on face to send away the tears "How much you've grown up" tears fall from Anya's beautiful eyes"And since when you started crying" this brings a smile on her sad face, now he begins to walk slowly and stops in front of her, from a far view they are looking like shadows in this dark as he takes another step to hug her with all the will he has in his heart but she doesn't come close to him, she remains at her place, seeing her not taking the step forward even he stops where he is, not letting her know own action he keeps the smile on his face instead inside he feels something really bad.
