HOLY SHIZZLE!!!! AN UPDATE!!!! IN THE WILD!!!!!!! I haven't seen one of these before...
Sorry that it's been a while. A lot has happened recently (yet I still update ma jokes and random book SO wtf Artemis), and let's just say that I am a sex repulsed little shit that eats way too many carbs and got less motivated to write deathshipping for some reason

Also, high school happened.

I have no idea whether or not I'll just make the chapters longer from now on because that's what I've been doing. But idk.

Here's your delayed update.

Ryou pushed the cart around the store, with Melvin following close behind. There was hardly anyone there so early in the morning, so no one was staring when Melvin got upset at the cereal prices.

Ryou laughed, still having to shush him but laughing nonetheless. "Why don't you go get some things from the list? We'll be done much quicker and you can go right back to bed."

With an obnoxious groan, Melvin took the list and went on an adventure to find a bag of whatever the hell "crisps" were.

It was quite early indeed, but Ryou needed to refill his refrigerator and get his foods back, even if it did require a chunk out of his wallet.

Ryou pushed the cart and walked into the aisle of dessert boxes. He couldn't decide whether or not he wanted vanilla or chocolate cake mix, nor if he wanted sprinkles on his chocolate or vanilla icing-- it was a bit too early to make these kind of decisions. After all, it was the first time in a long time he'd have to share his cake with someone else. How could he have known what Melvin preferred as well?

"I'm back."
Instead of grabbing his ass, Melvin poked Ryou's sides, startling him.

Ryou shook his head, smiling even though he was irritated. "You really really need to stop doing that!!!" Then he looked at what Melvin carried. "...care to explain, Mel?"

"I couldn't find 'crisps'." He defended himself and clutched his bag of Cheeto Puffs. "So I had to make do."

At this, Ryou just smiled. "'Crisps' are what you might call 'chips'." Then he pointed to the bag. "I don't know if these even qualify, but I'll buy them for you, if you'd like."

"Score...!" He tossed the chips into the cart, then proceeded to look around. "I wasn't aware you baked. I mean...I should've guessed." He sneered. "With that cake and all..."

"Stop that." Then he picked up two different boxes of cake mix and showed them to him. "Do you prefer chocolate or vanilla?"

"Chocolate. I'm not an idiot."

"Okay, okay... just chekcing." Ryou laughed, then he held up two icing containers. "Chocolate too?"

"What do I look like some sort of psychopath?"
With two chocolate items in the cart, Ryou lifted up a container of sprinkles and before he could ask, Melvin said, "Absolutely not."

After Ryou put the approved items into the cart, he looked at Melvin and grinned. "I think you can also help out with the easier, non-British things. Like crumpets."

"...what?"

Ryou began to laugh.

***

Melvin never said he didn't have a car, but he never said he did. So to Ryou's shock (and relief, on behalf of the groceries), Melvin offered to drive him wherever, only at the price of his company.
