Chapter Four

Hey everyone Chang here. In chapter three Lance told Ilana that MK might be his childhood friend who was part of the last breed of Galalunian witches who she (Ilana) thought were extinct. At school Kimmy was suspecting that Lance had feelings for MK by the way he was looking and asking questions about her. MK got involved into a car accident that led to the tragic death of her loved one, Bobby McClain. And last but certainly not least Lance saw a birthmark of the sun and moon at the side of MK's neck which shows evidence that MK is Lance's childhood friend. What's going to happen next? CHAPTER FOUR

MK was taking out her books until Kimmy, Ava, Tamia and Irma came. 'Hey,' Kimmy caught her attention. 'Hey,' MK wiped her tears away. 'We heard what happened to....' Kimmy trailed and hugged her. 'I'm so sorry.'

'Kinda feels like déjà vu when I lost Bobby in the accident last night.' MK looked down. 'I know how you feel MK. Losing someone you care about the most creates a big deep hole in your heart that can take to heal.' Ava replied in her gangster accent. 'Yeah, but I should really thank Lance for saving me. I owe him my life.' MK smiled at the thought of it. 'Aye, speaking of Lance, I heard that he helped you with your Maeve problem again.' Irma replied in her deep Irish accent. 'Yeah he seems to care a whole awful lot about me. I mean, after rescuing me he took me over to his place, treated my bruises, that kind of thing.' MK told them. 'It's official.' Kimmy declared. 'It's official that what?' MK asked. 'Lance is totally head of heels deeply in love with you.' Kimmy said with a smile. 'Whoa, "like" I can understand but "love" seems to be a little too strong.' MK replied. 'Sweetheart, we are all love experts and we know when a guy loves a girl.' Tamia stated in her black American accent. 'Lance is totally in love with you. Don't try to deny it.' Kimmy stated. 'Girls look at me. I am just an average 17 year old girl just like any other girl in school who turns out to be a sore loser and a nobody.' MK told them.

'Hey you are not all that.' Irma replied.

'Face it; I am practically nothing to him.' MK sighed.

'If you're nothing to him, why would he be coming to our direction?' Ava pointed at Lance who was walking towards them. MK ran out of words to say. 'Come on girls. Let's leave our dear sweet Mary Kate with her prince.' Kimmy smirked as they left. 'Hey,' Lance greeted her. 'Hey,' she replied. 'How are you feeling?' Lance asked. 'I'm okay. Depressed but okay.' MK chose her words carefully and looked away. 'I understand how you feel and what you've went through.' Lance replied. MK looked at him. 'I mean losing someone you care about the most really bites.' Lance elaborated. 'Yeah, it does a lot.' MK looked away again. There was an awkward silence. 'Look I was wondering if you want to go somewhere, anywhere you want to go. With me.' Lance said a bit nervously. MK's eyes widened not believing what she was hearing. Is he asking me out on a date? She thought as she looked at him. 'I thought it would cheer you up a little if I took you somewhere special.' Lance explained. MK's eyes widened even more. 'So what do you say?' Lance asked waiting for her answer. 'I would love to.' MK replied trying to hide her excitement. Lance was relieved. 'Okay cool, so I'll pick you up after school today.' Lance said. 'Definitely.' MK smiled. Before Lance left, he took a step closer to her and gently kissed her on her right cheek. MK's eyes widened with surprise and her cheeks were redder than a tomato. 'See you after school, MK.' Lance whispered in her ear and left. MK touched her right cheek. I can't believe he just did that. She thought. 'Like O.M.G as in oh my gosh. Did you guys see that?' Kimmy squealed. 'Oh yes we did.' Ava and Tamia confirmed. 'Whoa.' MK melted. 'So do you still think that you are nothing to him?' Irma asked with a smirk on her face. MK couldn't say anything. She was completely speechless.
