"I don't think it's going to stop aytime soon," I told Lane. The rain had been falling like rocks for the past two hours and it still showed no sign of stopping.
"The night's still young," he said.
Why did I bring him here? It was beyond me. There wasn't much here to do since I didn't actually live here. I was my house, not my home - yet.
I'd already given him the grand tour and there wasn't much to eat or drink except a cellar of wine.
"Can I get you something to drink?"
"Sure."
"Be back in a sec," I said and I was.
I turned a bottle of something I couldn't pronounce to him,"Voila."
We went to the kitchen where I pulled out two glasses.
"So how does it feel to be six hundred and forty five?"
He shrugged, "How does it feel to be seventeen?"
I shrugged, "You have a point," my eyes caught his and my laughter died away.
I felt my gaze change from casual to hunger faster than I could interpret.
"Kiss me," I demanded.
"What?"
I cleared my throat "I'll soon be back," I told him still not moving. I kept yelling at myself to look away but I couldn't and before my mind could process it I sat crawling over the counter and saddling him.
What am I doing? I asked myself as I flicked my hair over my shoulder and pulled him towards me.
His hands were around my waist holding me in his lap not that I was going to leave.
Our lips were together for the first time and I felt like exploding.
Deep down something told me hat this moment is what I was waiting for all my life. He began tracing kisses down my neck making a beeline to my breast and when he was there the only sound that filled the room was rain and moans.
He stood with my legs around his waist and laid me on the counter. I pulled my top over my head and tossed it across the room carelessly and pulled him towards me again. My heart was beating like a thousand drums emotions that I've never felt crashing into me like a tsunami.
"I'm not ready," I said running my tongue on his lips.
"I know."We stayed as we were a little longer before finally sitting up.
His gaze made me suddenly aware of my shirtlessness. He went to retrieve my top from a corner of the room."Thanks," I said reaching for it but he held it over his head.
I pouted, "What's the cost?""A kiss."
"You make it sound so simple when you know we won't be able to separate for now,"
He looked down at me with challenge in his eyes.
I opened the three buttons that held my waistband together, pulled the zipper down and made a scene taking it off. Soon I was standing in thre middle of the kitchen semi naked.
It was then that the thought occured to me that we'd only just met. And when did I get so bold.
"Wine?" I asked filling a glass and he nodded.
Two glasses of wine sat on the table between us, the only thing between our intimate stare down. And we stared, and stared, and stared .... "I have to go," he said.
"There's a storm out," I replied in suit
"I know."And just like that my happy balloon popped and my joy fell back to earth faster than a malfunctioning space ship.
"Okay," I said straightening up, "goodnight."I took up my glass and the bottle and went to my room.
