The Adopted Asguardian

Part 3

We met up with Thor outside of the throne room and rushed inside.
"Odin, the Frost Giants are marching on Asguard!" Said Loki, rushing in with Thor in front of me. Odin stood and strode to the hallway leading to the armory. We go straight to the armory and shoved open the door. He walked straight to the shelves and grabbed a bow made of copper with a silver string and no quiver.
He gave it to me and said "I had this made for you my daughter. Now we defend Asguard." I took the bow and we headed out to the now raging battle field.
I stood back to back with Loki, shooting arrows and casting spells. Just then the biggest Frost Giant halted the other Frost Giants and instead of fighting Odin or Thor, he stepped up to Loki and me. "So the littlest Frost Giant is fighting with the puny little Asguardians." Loki didn't take that one to well. He shot a fireball at him, it barely effected him though. He laughed and said "You Loki are useless. And I thought you could be like your kind." He laughed again. I slowly backed up to Loki. He remembered I was there, and grabbed my hand.
"Looks like little Loki has a soft side. Is that your little sister? Must be, she looks like Thor." He reached out to grab me but Loki blasted of one of his fingers with a fireball. "Don't touch my sister." Said Loki as the Frost Giant reformed his hand. "So you care about her. GET HER!"  He called and from all around Frost Giants lunged at us, Asguardians fighting them off. One made a grab for me but Loki blasted it back.
Then while his back was turned a Frost Giant grabbed me and I screamed  as loud as I could and shot an arrow into the Frost Giant's forehead. I fell from its hand, falling down, down, down to the ground. Just then Loki appeared under me and caught me in both arms. He quickly put me down when he realized that his hands had turned blue, and I mean a Frost Giant blue. He clenched his hands into fists when I realized that he had red eyes like the Frost Giants, and his skin was blue.
The biggest Frost Giant laughed and said, "You see Loki you are one of us. Now come with us or we take the girl." Loki shook his head and said, "I go where she goes. I will never leave her side, monster." He pulled me close. He raised his staff and shot a beam of light at the big Frost Giant. It hit him in the chest, dead on. It looked shocked at first the fell to the ground, dead.
Then Loki did something amazing, he shot another beam of light into the sky, holding me tightly and all of a sudden the Frost Giants were gone. He fell to his knees, dragging me down with him. He held me close and hugged me, I accepted it. I looked up at his face to see he was back to normal, and smiling. He was smiling at me almost laughing.
He released me and I helped him up. Thor came to his other side and said, "Brother, you saved our sister and Asguard. Let us celabrate." As we started toward the palace Odin halted us. He said, "Loki, your Frost Giant powers have finally developed. You need to learn to control them, we shall talk about this tomorrow. Now you three, go get cleaned up." We didn't argue.
That night we both ended up staying in Thor ' s room because our tower was severely damaged when a Frost Giant fell on it. I couldn't sleep at all that night and Loki couldn't either. So we both just sat there together, waiting for sleep.
"Why are you called the Littlest Frost Giant?" I ask. "They call me that because it's true. I am the Littlest Frost Giant." "Tell me why." "It started a few months after I was born, the Frost Giants and the Asguardians were at war. I was born to an unknown mother, but I am the son of the first Frost Giant king, Laufey. Odin killed him and found me behind his throne, hidden away. He, my father, was embarrassed by my size. You see, I was normal size, for an Asguardian. So when he found out what size I was, he hid me. So when Odin found me he adopted me and brought me back to Asguard. They all knew I was a Frost Giant but they didn't tell me until I was ten. It took me a while to get use to the fact that I was a Frost Giant." He went silent.
I lay down next to Loki and I finally fell asleep.
