The Adopted Asguardian

Part 5

We were in the throne room of the palace. I was facing towards the throne with the Frost Giant that had taunted Loki during the fight, wait, didn't Loki kill him? "Ah... You are awake. Good. Guards, bring the Frost Beast!" I elbowed Loki in the back.
He groaned a little and woke up. "Where are we?" "In the kingdom of the Frost Giants about to be eaten by a Frost Beast." I say, my voice wavering. He grabbed my hands and squeezed them tight. The the next thing I knew we were in the Avengers Tower once more. I looked around. Loki was nowhere to be seen.
Then I called out to Jarvis, "Where is Thor?" "Thor is in his room Kali. Should I notify him to join you?" "Yes. And tell him it is urgent." As I said it I realized why Loki wasn't here. He sacrificed himself so I could be safe. Just then Thor burst in with the Avengers behind him. He gave me a fierce hug. "Where did the take you? Where is Loki?" I spoke so quietly they could barely hear me, "The took us to the Frost Giants. He teleproted me here, but he didn't come with me."
Black Widow came over and covered my ears as she spoke. Then the others walked out of my room and she pushed me down onto the bed. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up." And that's what we did. I didn't speak until she left. Then I got up and walked to the window. As tears quietly slipped down my cheeks I wondered why he hadn't come with me. Then it clicked.
He only had enough energy to send one of us at a time, so either he would come back any minute now or... or he was killed. I shudder at the thought and flopped down on my bed, tears leaking from my eyes. Then Loki appeared before me. "Loki?" I question. He nods and opens his arms to me. I hug him and sob into his chest. "Don't you ever do that to me again!" I tell him as he wipes away my tears. "I have no plans to do it again any time soon. But you can't tell the others that I'm here." "Why?" "If they knew I was here they would send me back to Asguard. So I'm going to have to either go away or hide in plain sight. Which do you prefer?" "Hiding in plain sight." I say immediately. "Alright then." He said standing up.
He snapped his fingers and a cloud of green smoke covered him. When the smoke cleared a large wolf like dog stood before me. It was black and had green eyes like Loki. "Loki?" I ask. He nods and established a mental link between us so we can speak without the others getting suspicious of a talking dog. "Jarvis! Erase this from your memory and replace it with me sitting on the bed." "Yes Miss Kali." Responded Jarvis.
When he finished he asked when the dog got here. Is simply told him it didn't matter and to call in the Avengers. Then Loki simply put his head in my lap as I stroked him. This would be a little weird but worth it. When the Avengers arrived they asked where the dog came from. I simply shrugged and asked, "Can I keep him?" Wow, that sounded weird.
They all agreed, except Tony. He was ranting about how a dog would mess up his tower and my response was; "I don't give a fuck Tony, and nobody in this room does either. So I sugest you shut the hell up before I do it for you." He shut his mouth and everyone was staring at me, considering that I never cursed in front of them before. Loki smirked up at me, glad that I put Tony in his place. "I'm gonna go get a scotch." Tony muttered and walked out with everyone else.
