Liam fell down. Once again, he'd been defeated. Elenair slid her sword back into it's sheath and helped him up. "Again?" She asked. Liam shook his head. "Change of weapons?" she asked, trying to persuade him. Again, he shook his head. "I'll fight unarmed against you with a sword," She wheedled. Once again, the shake of the head. Liam was smart enough to know that either way, he was going to lose. So what was the point?

Elenair sighed. She knew the reason for Liam's unusually bad mood. He was usually so cheerful, a twinkle in his eye and an unlimited sense of enthusiasm. It pained her to see him so depressed, she couldn't remember another moment in their 16 and a half years of friendship from birth when he didn't have a teasing twinkle in his eyes. "Okay, let's stop for now," She finally said. "We'll train some more tomorrow, okay?"

Liam nodded sullenly and walked away, back into the castle that he called home. It was huge, fit for the royal family it housed. But right now, he didn't care. Not about the house, not about the world, not about anything Only about the girl that he loved. The girl with the beautiful white hair and beyond stunning blue eyes that shone with the sparkle of a diamond and the radiance of stars. But she was gone now. Stolen away. And he wasn't allowed to get her back. Orders of the King and Queen of Fondeva.

No amount of pleading, begging or threatening would convince the King and Queen of Fondeva to allow their son to go to Fjoshi to steal back a girl. Even if she was the love of their son's life. It was too big of a risk, too dangerous. They didn't want to lose his only son. And Liam knew that. But he also knew that he would never meet such a girl again. And that if he didn't go, if not to steal her, just to get a glimpse of her in Fjoshi, then he would regret it for the rest of his life.

It was decided. He once made a silent vow that he would get her back. And he would follow through with it. With, or without his parents' knowledge.
