"Come on, mom! We need to get me a new phone, and I can't drive by myself yet!" I shouted, quickly running down the stairs and I snatching my car keys off of it's hook. Then I sprinted to my car, sliding into the driver's seat and turning it on, honking to tell my mom to hurry.

"I'm right here, Maddie." Someone said from next to me. "Now drive, let's go get your phone." When she said that, my mind snapped back into reality and I began to drive to the Apple store at the mall.

As soon as I parked into an empty parking space, I shut off my car and ran inside, searching desperately for the Apple store. My mom pulled me down a fairly large hallway and into a shop.

I looked around and immediately noticed it as my destination, the Apple store. I took in the amount of new iPhones they had and went straight to the phone cases, taking a penguin design case. Then I made my way over to collect a black and blue 6s.

"I can't believe that I've got enough money to buy one." I whispered breathlessly. "I can't believe that I'm allowed to finally get myself my own phone."

"Get it, Maddie. If you do like it, then buy it." My mom told me and gently nudged me forward, closer to my wanted iPhone.

I picked it up and held it in my hand, it felt as if it was meant for me. It rested in my hand and I could easily grip it. It was very light and perfect, I was happy that I was about to buy it.

"Get it, it doesn't cost much." My mom as she slid it out of my hands, holding it carefully so she wouldn't drop it. Then she flipped it over her hand, examining it for some sort of crack or such.

"It's perfect." I replied breathlessly, my eyes wide as I store at it and grew unable to look away. I took it from her hand and squeezed it softly, smiling as it made an indent on the palm of my hand.

"If you're planning on getting that phone, I have one just like it that has things pre downloaded." Someone told me from behind, their voice almost familiar to me.

I looked up slowly, staring at the wall in front of me, and my eyes grew wider than before. "Like music?"

"Yes, it's got lots of songs I think you'll like." He replied, almost oblivious, to my addiction to music, but by the tone of his voice I knew it was obvious.

"What band are they?" I asked calmly, continuing to stare at the wall.

"5 Seconds Of Summer." He answered simply, as if he was in that band.

My eyes lit up and I smiled. "You've got to be kidding me. They're my favorite band."

"Not at all, and great. I can show you the music as proof, if you want me to."

"Yes." I hissed and spun around, staring at the floor as I followed him to the front desk so he can show me.

"See, all of their songs, from their first album to their most recent. And can you guess the best part?" He asked me.

"How can something be better than this? This is, like, paradise!" I squealed as I scrolled through the song list, reading the titles that I knew most of.

"It's only half off." He whispered so quietly, I almost couldn't hear him.

"You can't be serious, this cannot actually be happening!" I replied, barely able to hold back my squeal of delight.

"You get it half off, with all of the songs." He told me, and I felt him smile at me as he waited for my response.

"Alright," I giggled as I continued to stare at my almost-new phone. "I'll buy it."

"I knew you were going to some time." He told me and took both, my case and phone, out of my hands. "Would you like the case on right now?"

"Yes." I answered and began to lightly bounce up and down, staring at the counter in front of me.

He didn't reply, or say anything, for a few seconds. I was to excited about buying my phone to bother seeing what was wrong.

"I guess the case is free, my friend wants to pay for it for you." He said finally, and that surprised me.

"No no no. I'm buying it." I replied as I pulled out my cash, ready to pay for both.

"Too late," He said and snapped the case onto my official new phone. "By the way, there's something a little extra in the case."

We exchanged my phone for the amount of cash my phone cost plus the case cost.

"You're not going to give up, are you?" He asked as he handed the money of the phone case back to me. "I told you, he's paying for it and no one can change his mind."

I sighed and took the money back, then slid it back into my wallet. I took my phone out of his hand and smiled.

"Thank you." I said.

"Your welcome, and don't forget to check the case when you get home, or sometime." He replied.

"I will." I told him and turned around, walking through the mall and back to my car.
Already, my music was playing through my earbuds and I was lip syncing to every song there was; Beside You, She Looks So Perfect, Story Of Another Us, all of them.

I told my mom to drive so I could check what he meant by inside of my case, and she happily accepted.

Near the beginning, the case was pried off and a small note fluttered down, landing on my lap. I picked it up and opened it.

On the inside was a phone number without any words, and I quickly typed in the number under the name; Unknown .

Then I began to text him.
