chapter10: New Friend

' Great, you idiot '
I thought when I bumped into someone.

Let me stop you right there. Let's take it to the morning.

Today I woke up not feeling good. So, I brushed my hair, showered, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair again, and put on a baseball T-shirt, jean shorts, my white converse. And lastly, my cross necklace, and my favorite ring.

"Aye, scarlet let go to the mall!" Gris yelled from downstairs.

Perfect timing

"K, be right there" I yelled back.

Getting my phone of the table and grabbing my glasses. I didn't feel like wearing contacts. There the big ones in blue. I go downstairs telling griselda that I was ready. So, we left right after she was finish putting on her shoes.

The car ride to the mall was short. We both weren't talking, so it was more peaceful for me, but I didn't know for her. We arrived at the mall in 12 minutes. Finding a parking spot was hard. I mean, come on its a mall.

Right after that, we went inside. The smell of pizza filled my nose making me smile as I walked around looking at stores. Gris already gave me a hundred dollars, leaving at the same time. I was so focused at looking at the stores, that I bumped into a person.

*Now the present*

"I'm so sorry" I said, picking up the stuff that the person dropped.

"No, no it okay" the person said. Wait, a boy, ohhh shot.

I looked up and yup, it a boy.

"Really, I am sorry" I said blushing. I HATE blushing.

"It okay......" He said, not knowing my name

"Scarlet"

"Well, I'm Carlos, your new around here?" He asked, smiling.

"Ya, just moved here" I smiled back.

"Well, do you want me to show you around?" Carlos asked.

"Ummm, ya sure"

"Alright then let's go" he said.

"So. Want to tell me were you you came from?" She asked.

"El Salvador" I said. Not really showing emotion.

"Cool, so how's Florida doing for you?" He asked, looking over at me.

"Good" I responded.

"You seem down, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, just......thinking" I said.

"Well, Cheer up, you made a new friend" he says, smiling, pointing at himself.

I laugh people here are nice. Well, for now

"Okay, fine, but only for this" I warned

"Okay, fine by me" he smiles.

'This is going to be a long day' I thought.
