Diary of an Ordinary Girl

Chapter 1

"Hello?" I say as I answer my phone that has been ringing for the last five minutes. Mercy help him if he's calling because he needs me to fetch him from some place that he went all alone. Bryan had a tendency to walk at night. Just walk and walk without knowing where he is going and he ends up getting lost or too far away from home.

"Boo? Can you hear me?" He asks sounding a little irritated.

"Bryan. What is going on?"I sit up right and pat the covers.

"I cant sleep, and I hate being here all alone with my thoughts so I figured maybe you'd like to talk since we haven't spoken today?" I can sense something is up. I mean we occasionally talk at night but glancing at the alarm on the stand its 3:55AM and we never wake each other up unless its important.

I get off the bed,walk to my door,flick the switch light on and return to bed. If he needs me to listen right now that is what I'll do. Listen. Knowing that he is going through something I urge him on.

"Talk to me."He sighs and I can tell theres a lot going on and he just needs me to push him a little.
"Whats going on Bry? Did something bad happen?"

"No. Nothing bad happened but I kinda did something stupid." Je sighs again. I can imagine him rubbing at his brown-black hair irritated.

"What did you do?" I ask starring at my door waiting for him to tell me.

"I messed up. Can you actually come to the gate im standing outside. And bring a jacket its cold out here." He says and ends the call. I stare at the phone for a few seconds then get of the bed walk to the dressing table and take my previously worn clothes from the day before and put them on. After that I walk out my room and into the kitchen and take the house keys on top of the counter and open the front door,close and lock it after im out then walk to the gate.

"Are you crazy?" I ask after standing infront of the gate.

"I know its late I just...you're the only person I wanted to see right know. The only person who does not lie and cheat on me anyways." He says leaning against the wall fence and looks away.
Two words I got in that sentence,'lie' and 'cheat' and those only meant trouble...as in 'girlfriend' trouble. Im afraid to ask what happened im just happy that he isn't drunk,though he is not friends with alcohol.

"Bry...look at me. What do you mean 'lie and cheat'? Bryan had a girlfriend. Katie Holmes. She was bubbly and beautiful. Was always a peoples person and was always there if you needed some makeup tips. But in the past couple of weeks i've noticed changes between the two love birds since they didnt hang together much and always made excuses around each other. I only thought of it as exam pressure and that they both were preparing themselves that is why they spent less time together.

"She's been cheating on me for the past four months. And can you believe she actually told me that it was pre-exam nerves and all...that is why she needed me to give her space?" He rubs his hands together. He looks adorable when he fustrated and arritated. You just wanna give him a big bear hug.

I open the gate and get out. Looking at him wearing his faded Blue jeans and grey '69'hood he looks so handsome and I have to say that he is an unbelievably good guy. He definately does not deserve all of this. "Its not your fault Bry. She's the one who's a fool. She lost the best thing that ever happened to her." I pull him in for a hug. He hugs me back and we embrace for a few minutes. Hes so warm and I just wanna cuddle with him. Then I pull back and look at him in the eyes. He looks better than he did when he got here.
"Its all gonna work out you'll see." I say. Im not sure Im convincing him or me with that statement. He smiles looking at me adoringly.

"I know," he says holding me by my hands. "Its just that...I thought me and her were forever" he sighs. "Dont worry about it, im fine now. I saw you and talked to you and for me that is the best part of my day." He smiles at me and hugs me one more time before he tells me to go inside and sleep. I get to my room smiling,feeling like I've conquered the world by helping him feel better. 'Cant wait for tomorrow' I think as I get into bed and fall fast asleep.
