Maddie's POV

I once again grabbed the piece of paper that contained my eighteenth birthday wishes and slipped it in my pocket. I looked at my son who now looks like he has had enough of my love story. "I'm pretty sure you'll still hear this story for the next century, love."

He stood up with his little legs and faced me, "I was afraid I'll hear that. But it's okay mom I'll think I'll get used to it." He then hugged me.

Oh but I'm sure you'll cringe every time, son. I watched him sit down on the couch and as he picked up the remote, the doorbell rang.

I stood up from the kitchen counter and walked up to the door. I turned the doorknob open, and lo and behold-

"Daddy!", my son shouted as he ran up to Louis.

"How was the interview?" I asked.

Louis kissed me on the cheek, "Great, I missed you both though."

"Next interview, we'll come." I told him. "Anything special mentioned?"

Louis and I are now seated on the couch as he said, "Aside from explaining that I married the band's songwriter and the singer Maddie Daniel, I got to tell how we first met."

I then looked up his head and noticed he was wearing the beanie he wore on that cruise. I smiled at the thought.

Louis continued, "I said, it was because of this flying beanie hat." He removed the beanie from his head. "It was this thing that led me to my wife. It was a simple thing that paved the way for an extraordinary happening." He now held my hand, "We met because of something that just came out of the blue."
