“A kiss is just a kiss,” you frowned up at Edward. “Lips on lips; that's it. It doesn't mean anything Ed.”

A lopsided grin tipped the left side of Edward's lip and an uneasy tingle raced up your spine.

“Oh really? If a kiss doesn't mean anything to you then I dare you to go kiss my brother.”

Your brows creased in bewilderment. “Who, Harry?”

Ed rolled his apple-green eyes. 

“No,” he drawled. “Marcel.”

You cringed inside.

Marcel Styles, with his four eyes and vomit-worthy taste in clothes.

“And speak of the devil, look who's checking you out,” Ed smirked down at you. “Go on [Y/N], prove that a kiss doesn't mean anything.”

You curled your hand into a fist, shaking your head inwardly.

“Fine.”

Pacing over to the geek who just happened to be your boyfriend's brother, you spied Marcel ducking his head behind his locker, most likely fixing his dreadful appearance. 

Ed's (as well as your friend's) stares etched more spinal tingles along your back as you approached Marcel. 

He popped his head back up, identical green eyes taking in your appearance and presence.

“H-ey [Y/N],” he bashfully stuttered, wetting his lips till they shone.

You hesitated. You didn't want to inflict this upon Marcel, but how else were you going to win your argument with Ed?

You waited for no introduction, snaking your hand around his neck and pushing him towards you. 

You could feel Marcel gasping into your mouth at your sudden action. 

His lips moulded with ours as Ed's always did and before things could escalate any further you pull away, drawing your arm back.

Marcel's cheeks are flushed, tinted an adorable shade of pink. You noticed that his glasses were slightly askew as you backed away from him before pivoting back around to Ed.

“See? It's just a kiss,” you said directly to your boyfriend. “Nothing more, nothing less.”
