Black Heart But No Eyes (Eyeless Jack Romance)

Chapter 1: frozen despair

Max woke, a cold breeze blew into the mouth of the cave entrance. She sat up quickly and looked around hastily. "Who's there!?" she shouted. No answer. Panic arose, scrambling to her frozen legs someone knocked her back down. Max tried looking behind her but someone had pinned her down. "Stop! Please!" she begged as tears started though the streaks of water only shown like pale streaks.
              "Shhh" a raspy voice cooed. Max cried harder, "What do you want?" she asked in a shaky voice. "Your kidney"

She shivered as the man slowly turned her to face a blue mask with black wholes. "Please go away.....I-I'm not...I'm n-not...I don't h-have-" he cut her off at her begging. "Shhh" he put a finger to his mask where his lips would be. Max shook as he pulled her shirt up to display the cold skin and the wound that was still healing, the infection mad the man snarl angrily. "Where is it?" he nearly shouted.
          "I-I d-don't kn-now" she stuttered as he turned to her. "What about the other one?" he asked. "Its a med-medical c-condition...I-I don't ha-have two kidneys...and someone stole the real one...all th-that's left is a device...no kidneys" Max stuttered. The stranger got off her and slammed his foot against the wall. Then turned to her. She watched him and pulled her shirt down to cover the wound.
He walked over, grabbing her roughly, "Who are you?" she asked braver than she felt. "You will never know" he whispered before he was able to kill her the sound of sirens rang out.

"SHIT!!!" they muttered at the same time. They glared at each other before he dropped her. Max scrambled to her feet running after him. "Who are you?" she asked following him like a predator after prey. "Go away!" he answered firmly. Max grabbed his arm as the sound of barking drew closer. "MAX!!!" the cops shouted frantically. "Eyeless Jack" he said before grabbing her and tossing her over his shoulder. She yelped softly as they ran. Once and awhile Max winced when she bounced just a bit when he jumped over something.
Surprisingly she was able to fall asleep murmuring apologies under her breath. Eyeless Jack dropped her on a dirty torn couch once inside Slender's Mansion. "Where is everyone?" he whispered.

             "Daddy" he turned to Max who was fast asleep on the couch. His face twisted with disgust at the mortal. "Pathetic" he grumbled as Jeff ran in breathing hard. "You see the cops out there? Its cold out and their wasting time looking for a 'Max' of some sorts" Jeff turned to see the almost lifeless Max. "Since when did you bring the hotties home?" he snickered. Then silenced when Eyeless Jack began to take off his mask. "I mean; when did you take home your lunch?" he corrected himself. Eyeless answered stiffly "Not lunch. This is Max. The chick with no damned kidneys" he added the last part with anger.

"No kidneys?"

"Yes. Hard to believe I know"

Jeff shook his head and took out his knife. "Can I kill her?" he asked happily. "Go ahe-" Max woke up screaming scaring both the pasta's. "IT LIVES~!" Jeff yelled. Max held her chest. Clawing at it desperately. Both of the men grabbed her arms. "Let me go!" she screamed kicking her legs. "MAX! Your awake!" Eyeless Jack screamed at her as he shook her violently.

           Tears started falling, some tinted red with blood. She breathed heavily as Jeff took his knife to her throat. Ready to silence her forever. "Kill me....please. I will never be missed." Max whispered. Eyeless grabbed both her hands wrenching her away from Jeff. "Wha-" he began to protest. "You know the rules. Slenderman will not allow blood on his floor. We take this outside" Jack felt no sorrow for the girl. Seeing her die would make him happy. How dare she have no kidneys!
Jeff and Jack tossed her on the porch where she scrambled off the steps. They faintly heard her whispering. Jeff took his knife out again before Max stood abruptly. "GOODNIGHT! Thanks for getting me away from the cops~!" she sprang away. The delay of shock gave her to much time to get away. But Jeff and Jack went into pursuit.

"Where did she go?" Max stifled a smirk. No one ever looks up... she climbed higher into the branches. "I don't know. But no one with a wound could get away this fast" Jack took off his hood when he ran his hand through his hair. Her breath caught in her lungs as she heard him comment on the wound.

It wasn't something she liked to hear about. Yeah she'd grown used to having it there. But it was infected. Hurting like a car crash it was surprising she could ignore it so easily. "Its like she disappeared" Jeff leaned against a tree.

              "I know" Jack grumbled. "It makes no sense"

"Tell me about it. If she's wounded she should be bleeding out"

"But she's not. As if she has no blood"

Well I bled out a couple months ago you should have seen it

"I need to run tests on her" Jack put his hands behind his back.

Excuuuus me? Max glared down at him.

"Good luck, you'll need to find her first." Jeff chuckled.

"I think I found her" someone interjected. Max turned around. She screamed and fell out of the tree right into Jack's arms. Jeff started after her but she slapped Eyeless Jack across the face, stood up and backed up. Slenderman wrapped a tentacle around her but she bit him and he let her go. Jeff jumped at her but kicked him in the balls. Backed up again and tripped. Knocking Ben out with her flying fists. Max then sits up. "Holy shit I just took out"- counts fingers-"four guys! Holy shit I rule!" spits on Ben. Runs away.

              Max breaths heavily as she slows down to a trot. So I have the cops after me, some creepy guys after me, and I have no home and no family, yep life's perfect! she rolls her eyes in sarcasm. "Fucking weather" she said kicking snow up under her bare feet. Max starts to climb a tree when Eyeless Jack grabs the back of her shirt and pulls her into his chest. "Yeyk!" she squeaked. "Where do you think your going?" he asked.
"Uh.....I'm sure you won't believe me but I was going to the ice cream store to eat all the ice cream in the back room" she smiled nervously. He snickered at the pathetic attempt but it was amusing. He started dragging her back to the mansion. "EYELESS JACK! Please don't!" she shouted. "Shut up!" he grumbled. "SILENCE ME THEN!" Max hissed. He turned but she was gone. Eyeless Jack narrowed his eyes underneath his mask. "Max?" he called curiously. No answer. "What the hell?" O.o........
             Max was now running towards the cave she lived in to gather some of her belongings then run for dear life to another state. Tests? What the fuck? Who does this 'Eyeless Jack' think he is? definitely not a doctor she would like. Nor allow to examine her. Shaking her head she entered the cave. She gathered her things quickly then shoved them in a bag. "That's everything" she sighed after tossing the bag on her shoulder. Max ran to find a train. She had to run, right?

One Week Later

Max was inside an old cabin in the woods, yes she checked it for anything out of the ordinary. She yawned as she woke. "Morning" she grumbled to herself. Snow was thick against the windows and it seeped through the chimney. It was cold. Dead cold. But she's felt colder. Max stood groggily from the make shift bed and went outside without shoes. The snow crunched under her feet. A twig snapped.

"Uhh..." she started stepping back into the house when she bumped into someone. "Found you" her world went black-

"NO!" she yelled defiantly to me. "I will not faint!" she shouted at me. "Who are you talking to?" Eyeless Jack asked. "THE NARRATOR!!!" Max shouted before Jack knocked her out. I always win Max....Always. *smiles creepily*.
