Chapter 6

Christina's POV

It was finally over. Lisa explained this wasn't the worst night she'd had. So I couldn't imagine the things that could happen in that place. I looked around as it was now light. I was tired but I ignored the feeling and forced myself to stay awake. The ground was still wet but the rain had stopped.

"Hey I found something!" Dani said, Lauren, Lisa and I walked over to her. She held a dripping wet book.

"What's a book going to help us with?" I said confused

"That's not just any old book" Lisa said

"What is it then?" Lauren asked the question that was going through my brain.

"Have you two never heard the legend? Of the 5 leaders?" Dani said. We shook our head.

"Many years ago, the world agreed it was too much of a complicated place, there was war, political arguments, different views, religions, amount of money. So 5 leaders were voted. 3 leaders wanted everyone to be under the same rules, living the same life, with many secrets from what the world was once like. 2 leaders wanted freedom, they wanted people to have their own choices, no secrets to be kept. There was war and the 3 won. Which is why the world is this way today. The 2 leaders left behind clues then went missing, 4 months later they were found dead and the legend also say '6 born of the same women, they will never know, till the day all 6 meet, the world will fall into its true fate'. No one knows what this truly means but they know once this happens, which could be any moment, it could be hundreds of years from now but all anyone can say is it will change things forever if it's the truth. This book is a clue, a guide"

"So what does it say" I asked

"North. The day will come, fate will fall, white frame white wall so pure, so fresh."

"What's that even supposed to mean?" Dani said

I shrugged "I guess we have to go north.."

"Guys what if this isn't even real, like what of someone just made it as a joke?" Lauren said

"Jokes? Since when does anyone make those because I seem to do the only one laughing all the time" Dani said

"Probably because you're not funny" I teased

"Shut up" Dani smiled "but really people are too serious Lauren"

"Okay then maybe it's a trick, someone probably wants to find us"

"What are you hiding from?" Lisa asked

"X" I said

"How do we even know we can trust her" Dani whispered

"I just have a feeling we can, I had a feeling I could trust you and Lauren"

"Okay but we've gotta be careful"

"Wait I knew your face looked slightly familiar!" Lisa said "you're Christina Wilson! You know everyone's been talking about you saying you've gone crazy and ran away"

"I haven't gone crazy, I'm just not like everyone else"

"Well same" Lisa admitted

"Is that why you were in the middle of the forest with some guy who ended up beating you up" I said without thinking

"He's not some guy! He's like a brother to me he's all I have! And I was going home if you really need to know, we were running late, we knew we wouldn't make it anyway so we got bitter with each other, now if you don't mind I'd much rather be on my way!" She said walking off.

"Lisa!" We shouted

"Leave me alone! You don't even know me or the life I live and you wouldn't want to get involved either it's not safe!"

"We're on the run from people who will most likely kill us when they find us! I think we're experienced enough in dangerous lives!"

"What do you even need from me anyway?!" Lisa shouted annoyed

"You're not like everyone else in the world"

"Yeah I noticed, so?"

"And neither are we. Tell me, do you think the world is a good or bad place? Do you trust X?"

"Honestly, no" the girl sighed.

"And have you ever met anyone who thinks the same?"

"No but whatever it's probably just a coincidence. I know what you're thinking but as if that would happen"

"This isn't coincidence! It can't be..."

"Fine, I'm listening. What do you think we should do?"
