Derek is so nice! He showed me round school today and I didn't have to seat alone at lunch. When school was over he said he had to pick up the groceries for his mum so we parted ways.
I went into the pizza place I saw on my way to school. I had gotten my order and was about to leave when somebody stopped me on my way out. I was confused because I knew practically nobody here. She said she was from school and she was in the hall way in the morning and witnessed all the "new girl, cute guy drama" that went on.
My cheeks turned red.
We ended up walking home together and I found out she lived close.
"Everyone in school's talking about you!" "I can't believe Derek Walter touched you! "
She said so shrieking.
With a confused and shy look on my face I asked,
"Ummmm... Is that supposed to be a big deal or something"
"No, it's not he's only the cutest guy in school and every girls' dream" she said so rolling her eyes.*note the sarcasm.
We had fun on our way home and she invited me over to her place.
Walking into her house, I looked to the right and I saw Him,
I asked,
"Ummmm is that Derek?"
"Omg yes!!! Is my hair okay?"
Rolling my eyes and laughing, I asked
"Is he your neighbor?"
And she replied with "is he the cutest guy ever?"
"So I'm guessing yes"
Bianca paid more attention to her window watching Derek than to me, her guest.
I stood up from her bed to join her. Her mum called her from downstairs so she had to leave. I was watching Derek so much that I didn't even realize he had been looking at me for a while.I came back to my senses and saw him looking at me. I blushed a little and waved with a small smile
I was keeping it cool
He waved back and winked. I felt my legs wobbling and I thought I was going to faint!
He motioned for me to come over and I replied with my hand gesturing "later"
Bianca walked in and I told her Derek wanted me over. She freaked out of course, pulled down the neck line of my Tank top, raised my skirt and added some extra lip gloss to my already glossy lips.
As I walked out of the room, I dressed properly again and cleaned a little lip gloss off.
As I walked into Derek's yard,I saw Bianca looking from her window.
I felt so awkward.
"Hi" I said waving
"Hey" he replied waving his hand.
"Let's go in" he said motioning for me to walk in front
On entering his house, I smelt pancakes
I love pancakes too!
We went up to his room.
We sat on his bed and we had a random conversation. He asked why I moved,how I was finding California and stuff like that
Then we started to crack silly jokes but one really got me
"OK so if I'm sick In class, can you call me classic?"
I laughed so hard that I couldn't breath and I fell back on his bed He fell back too and we were laying down next to each other.
Coincidentally, we both looked to each others directions and we ended up starring at each other for about 30 seconds.
It felt like the world had paused
He was beautiful
Blue eyes
Dark brown hair
Freckles
A pointed nose
His face was gorgeous
He held me by my waist and I was ready to give my all to him
But then the moment had to be ruined
"I'm sorry, "he said sitting up
I sat up too feeling as uncomfortable as ever
I didn't know whether to say it was okay or to ask why he didn't just kiss me
"I really like you Lisa"
"But you barely even know me"
Touching my face, "I know but I feel like I've known you forever"
"I like you too, but don't You think maybe it's too soon?"
"I love you! Don't give me that shit right now!"
I turned red
"I don't understand"
"I'm, I'm sorry"
......................
"I just can't lose anybody anymore okay?"
"I still don't understand but you can talk to me"
