‘To the R5 family,
I want to extend my sincerest apologies for the behavior displayed by me recently. As many of you know, photos of me and the boys in Las Vegas were recently released. All though I’ve seen many of you theorize that the photos were edited or photo shopped in some way, I can confirm that they were not. To celebrate Riker’s recent engagement to his longtime girlfriend Kristen, the four of us decided to spend the weekend in Vegas. There, we met two lovely young ladies who accompanied us for most of the evening. Upon waking the next morning, I and one of the girls discovered that we had married sometime the previous evening. While intoxicated. The identities of both girls will remain confidential to avoid any backlash on them. We are currently in the process of having the marriage annulled.
I realize that my actions were irresponsible and I would like to apologize. I understand that I have many younger members of the R5 family looking up to me and the way I behaved was not the way a role model should carry himself. Thank you all for sticking with us and supporting us no matter what. We love the R5 family.
-Ross
“I think that covers it.” Stormie said as she read over Ross’s shoulder. Carly nodded. “I think so too.” Ross sighed and hit post. At Ross’s meeting with the Disney execs earlier in the week, they had instructed him to issue an apology to the fans using whatever means he saw easiest. He decided to use the official R5 Tumblr account, since the majority of the R5 family seemed to be on Tumblr. Carly heard Kristen huff from behind them. “Well I think this is all stupid. He went to Vegas and got wasted, big deal! They should not have spent an entire day screaming at him. I’m sure they did equally stupid things when they were teens.” She grumbled. Ross half smiled. Carly could tell he and Kristen probably got along best out of all of Riker’s siblings. Riker slung his arm around his fiancés shoulders. “Yeah, well they didn’t have a million young fans looking up to them either.” He pointed out. She sighed and wrapped her arms around his torso. “Fair enough.” She mumbled. Ross handed the laptop to his mother and stood up from the couch. “I’ll be upstairs.” He mumbled as he crossed the living room to the staircase. Carly frowned. Ross hadn’t spoken to her since he’d snapped on her earlier in the week. She was beginning to get a little tired of his attitude. Yes, he was stressed. So was she. She had her possible future career hanging in the balance, same as he did. She wished he would get it through his stubborn mind that he wasn’t the only one affected by the pictures being released. Riker finally broke the silence after a few moments. “So…where are you ladies off to today?” he asked. Kristen nodded towards Carly. “Carly, Rydel, & I are going to pick up Julia and Kaeley. Then we’re going for the first meeting with the wedding planner. You’re still sure about December 20th?” she questioned, referring to their wedding date. Riker nodded. “Absolutely. That’ll give us six months, I think we can plan a wedding in that amount of time. After all, Carly & Ross planned theirs in about six minutes.” He teased. Carly scoffed and roughly threw one of the decorative couch pillows at his head. “Oh shut up.” She muttered. Riker grinned and leaned down to quickly peck Kristen’s lips. “Well I’m off. I’m going car shopping for Ryland with dad today. Early Christmas present so shhh.” He urged before jogging towards the front door. “I love you!” he called over his shoulder. “Love you too!” Kristen called back. She nudged Carly’s shoulder gently. “Come on, we’d better get going too. I told Kaeley I’d be to her house by 10:00 and it’s 9:45 now.” She began walking towards the front door. Carly leapt off of the couch and followed quickly behind. “Wait.” She glanced down at the tank top & jean shorts she was wearing. “Is this alright? I’ve never been wedding planning before.” She said hesitantly. Kristen laughed and gestured to her similarly casual ensemble of shorts and a tank top. “Well if we get in trouble, then we’ll both get in trouble. Rydel! We’re leaving!” she called. Rydel came thundering down the stairs moments later. “I’m coming, I’m coming.” She said breathlessly as she approached. She stopped short and glanced down at her outfit. “Wait, is this ok-” “Yes!” Carly and Kristen chorused as they dragged her out to the car.
