Urgh. I couldnt help but let out a groan as i slowly felt my senses coming back to me one by one. The first thing i felt was pain and when i say pain i meant like a whole truck load of it. And it was all coming from the side of my stomach and my head, which felt like a woman in labour. The last sense to come back of course was sight i tried to open my eyes slowly of course, not being stupid enough to try and open it up all at once. But even this small action made my head pound a thousand times harder. So i gave up and decided to go back to sleep and wait for the heavy anesthesia to wear off.
.............................................................................After sleeping for what felt like a day i finally felt the pounding lesson leave and i managed to open my eyes slowly to be met by a bucket load of white light. After my eyes were finally able to adjust to the brighter environment i came to the terms that i was actually in a hospital room.
Ugh I absolutely hate hospitals they reek of death and drugs. To make it worse I could tell that there were at least 5 needles sticking out of my body, a heart rate monitor beside me and an oxygen mask on my face.
Wait how did i even get in here in the first place? Thats when i remembered how my 'husband' had stabbed me and i had attempted to get to safety. Lifting up the rough blanket around me, and taking a peak into my hospital gown, i found that my whole right side was covered in a thick layer of bandage.
Damn am probably gonna be here a while. I thought to myself. I might as well look around. This place was fancy putting it mildly the whole room was bigger than some of the apartments i had stayed in. Whoever brought me here must have been loaded.
A twist of one of the door handle alerted me that somebody was about to come in so i tried my best to cover myself up as much as i could in a hospital gown. I was sure it was a nurse probably here to check my vitals .
Woh! That is no nurse but if he was he would make one fine nurse. Rebecca snap out of it you just met the guy he was tall over 6ft 3 and it put my 5ft 4 to shame. I watched him like a hawk as he strode towards me in carefully calculated steps. He looked so stiff and all business like.
But i couldnt help but wonder what the heck he was doing here in my hospital room. All my thoughts went out the window when i heard his rough voice speak.
"I see you have finally woken, that stab wound really must have taken a toll on you seeing as you have been out for a week. I was getting tired of waiting for you to wake up. I would appreciate it a lot if you would avoid the knives next time" he spoke with all seriousness in his voice.
Wait what! I have been out for a week! How hard did Samuel hit me? And wait! He was waiting for me why the heck would this random hot dude be waiting for me for a week. I smell something fishy already and its not this disinfectant.
"Not to be rude here or anything but why have you been waiting for me to wake up for a week and how do you know me anyway."i asked.
"My apologies i forgot to introduce myself my name is Jackson Lancaster and i am the director of finance and housing at Lancaster corp. I come to you on behalf of my brother Derek Lancaster current CEO of Lancaster corp. with a proposition."he said with a hand stretched out for me to shake but i would rather pass. Am not big fan of all these rich ass people who think they are better than us i would rather pass on all their drama.
