I woke up to the sound of voices. I had fallen asleep on the couch, tucked in under a few blankets. The clock read 10:34 AM. Quickly, I got up and walked into the kitchen. Dean was reading something on the computer and Sam was cooking breakfast.
"Morning," Dean said. Sam just smiled.
"Hi." I responded.
I sat down next to Dean and tried to see what he was doing. Before he quickly moved it, I saw the word dragon.
"You like dragons?" I laughed.
He didn't. He didn't even smile, he just closed the laptop and walked out of the kitchen.
"What's his problem?" I asked Sam.
"Nothing, just really stressed lately. I'm making eggs and bacon. You hungry?" he smiled.
"Yeah, very. I'm a vegetarian, though, so no bacon." I smiled back.
"Vegetarian? And how's that going?" he asked.
"It's going great. It's been almost three years."
I walked over to the window and it was lightly snowing. I loved the snow, it was so beautiful. Even though I was in shorts and a huge sweatshirt, I walked out. I felt Sam watching me, but I didn't look back. The snow gently fell on my hair. There was a bench back here under the roof. It hasn't been snowed on, so I sat on it. I just sat, watching the snow fall.
I heard the door open and saw Sam walking towards me. He was holding a blanket and a cup of hot cocoa. He kind of had to duck down to sit on the bench next to me. Sam placed the blanket over my legs and then handed me the mug.
"Thank you." I smiled.
"I see you like the snow?" he smiled back.
"Yeah, it's so peaceful."
I took a sip of the hot cocoa, which was already cooled down by the weather. It's been a good ten minutes that we've been sitting out here. I stood up, and so did Sam. He hit his head on the roof and I laughed. Sam just looked at me and I stopped, but then he smiled. Once we got inside, I hadn't realized how nice it felt.
I was shivering and Sam noticed, so he quickly ran to get me another blanket. He wrapped it around me and I smiled. Suddenly, Dean walked in and told Sam he needed to talk to him. I poured myself another cup of hot cocoa while I waited for them to come back. It's been over twenty minutes so I tried to find them. This house was small, so I looked everywhere except for one place.
The basement.
I slowly twisted the door knob and gently opened the door. Looking straight ahead, there was just a concrete wall. The steps were wooden but didn't creek. I heard small voices and knew they were down here.
"Where's my dad!" Dean yelled.
"Dead, I already told you." a man laughed.
Once I was in perfect sight, he made it clear that I was there.
"Who's this beautiful girl?" he smiled.
"Elizabeth, go back up stairs!" Sam yelled.
I spun around to find two guys behind me. There eyes were black and they looked hungry.
"Sam!" I yelled, running down the stairs.
I stood behind him and closed my eyes. I felt the two guys coming closer, I knew they wanted to kill me. Sam picked up what looked to be holy water and splashed it on them. They started burning and quickly died. I was speechless.
"What the hell?" I whispered.
The guy that was tied up on the chair laughed. I looked at him and then looked at Sam.
I had to be dreaming. This couldn't be real, none of this.
I ran upstairs and ran up the next flight of stairs. Running towards the room I was supposed to sleep in, I heard Sam running up the stairs. I quickly shut the door and locked it, putting my head in my hands.
"Wake up!" I yelled.
"Elizabeth, open the door!" Sam yelled.
I didn't respond, U just silently cried.
"Elizabeth!" Sam yelled again.
He found a key to unlock the door and ran straight towards me.
"It'll be okay," he cradled me in his arms. "it'll be okay."
