He stared off from the window, a slight grimace on his face. The nighttime started to rise, the sun setting. He didn't complain about night, in fact, he rather enjoyed it.
The Suns final light created dancing orange and yellow shadows upon the golden clouds, the forest in front of the small cabin turning dark. He watched it all unfold.
He stood up, his body giving a slight sway at him standing. He turned to look at the floral design in the chair, his gaze returning back outside.
His old body made way to the door of the house, leaving the cabin. He slowly shifted to a ladder, gradually climbing up it. Gentle footsteps pat on the roof, he moving to lay down on a blanket he already had set down.
He stared up at the twinkling stars, the moon smiling down at him. Sure, he was old, but that doesn't mean he can't dream and see the beauty of things.
His lips tightened into a small smile, the moon only seeming to glow brighter in a happy response. In the woods surrounding the cabin, you can hear the cicadas noise dulling out, eventually dying down, as the rare owl hoot and grass shuffle take its place. He stared at the stars for another ten minutes, before walking downstairs. Time for bed.
