• Nanami's POV •

"Nanami!!" 

I turned my head to see the person i was waiting for. He stopped beside me, placing his hands on his knees as he caught his breath. 

"Sorry i was late, i missed the first train." 

He explained. This was my friend, Ryoku, aka Ryo. I shrugged and smiled at him. 

"Thats fine, i only got here recently." 

He seemed sligthly relieved by that as he straightened himself up. Me and Ryo met three years ago, however, because of my Fathers disapproval of commoners, we didnt have a chance to talk very often. Now though, i was staying with a friend of mine, and we saw each other much more often. Oh, i also had a crush on him. 

"Lets get going then." 

He led me to a small cafe that he wanted to take to. 

"Ill go up and tell them what you want." 

He said after i told him. I nodded and tapped the table bored, as i waited for him to return. 

"Hello~" 

I glanced up to see a young man a few years older than me, smiling at me, as he slipped into the seat in front of me. 

"Whats a pretty girl like you doing by yourself?~" 

He had spiky blonde hair and his clothes were ruffled up in a 'i dont give a crap' kind of manner. He had green eyes. 

"Im not alone, could you le-" 

"Well thats a shame, why dont me and you slip out for a bit~?" 

I sneered in disgust at him. He obviously wasnt taking the hint. 

"Ill pass, Im actually with a friend so if youll excuse me." 

I got up, ready to go over to Ryo when i felt him grab my wrist, standing up. I sharply turned to face him, shooting him a glare. 

"What are yo-" 

"You dont have to be rude y'know, im just askin you to keep me a bit of company~" 

He said, a small smirk rising on his face, as he tightened his grip slightly on my wrist, causing me to wince. Besides the three of us, there wasnt really anyone else in the cafe. 

 "Now come on why dont we just-" 

"If im not mistaken..." 

Ryos voice came from behind me, grabbing the guys arm, pulling it off me. 

"She said. She wasnt interested!" 

Ryo punched him in the mouth, then as he kneeled down slightly, He brought his foot up, it meeting his nose, making a harsh crack sound. The guy didnt take lightly to this as he swung at Ryo, landing a hit on his cheek, leaving a red mark. Ryo glared at him, sending a hard kick to his knee as it bent the wrong way, making him scream in pain, as Ryo took a fistful of his hair, smashing it into the table beside them, letting him fall down after that. The guy was a sobbing mess, curling into himself as Ryo only glared at him and spat out a few curse words. He took my hand gently, and led me out of the cafe. 

"Ryo I-" 

Suddenly his arms wrapped around me and he pulled me against his chest into a hug, hiding his face in my neck and hair. 

"I was so worried he was going to hurt you.." 

He muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. 

"Im so glad i noticed in time.." 

"R-Ryo?" 

I stuttered, my face turning red, his actions sending my mind into overdrive. 

"I like you Nanami. I dont care anymore, You're nice, and gently, and caring, and even though you struggled at times with who you were you still came through. And im sorry if its wrong to feel that way, but i dont care anymore." 

My eyes teared up as i hugged him tightly. A raindrop hit my cheek, however i didnt let go, as it slowly began to rain. 

"I l-like you too!" 

I exclaimed, pulling away to see his face. He seemed suprised, but then the bright smile that i loved to see him with showed on his face. 

"Its like a manga now, all we need is a guy friend for me that everyone ships me with." 

I snickered at that, before he took my chin and lifted it, our lips meeting. Fuck the rain, id kiss him even if i was drowning. He eventually pulled away, taking my hand in his, smiling at me.

"Lets get out of the rain." 

I nodded, smiling back. Take that Father.
