The wound boy

This is Mackenzie
Fifteen years later
There was a small village deep in the woods. Not much people know about this place.
The population of the village is about 100 people. They are safe here compared to the outside world. What happened in the outside world you may ask.
Fifteen years ago vampires took over the dragon kingdom. This were the people who survive though the war. But no. The dragon heir didn't continue. According to the vampires. They killed all the pure bloods and only the pure blood can wake the dragons.
"Kenzie, come on in. It's night time. You shouldn't be out so late." A man yelled
"I'll be back in a bit." The girl said.
"The night sky is beautiful, isn't it?" The man said. Walking to the girl
"Yes it is." The girl stare at the sky." Why aren't we allow outside at night. I mean it's so beautiful. Who would want to miss that?"
"Because beauty cause dangerous, darling. You know the story about the outside world. The vampires are strong at night time. That's why we stay in at nighttime." The man said
A painful yell come through the woods.
"What's wrong?" The girl asked
"Nothing. Maybe some animal got kill or something." The man push the girl in to the  village
"No Eason. Someone's hurt." The girl hiss
"Mackenzie, you can't help everyone that's hurt besides the vampires are out there. You'll get yourself into trouble." The man, Eason said
"I can just let someone die like this. I'll be careful." The girl, Mackenzie ran into the forest
"God, she never listen." Eason hiss then follow up. They walk about ten minutes than saw a bloody body laying on the ground
"I told you someone's hurt." Mackenzie said
"He's probably dead. Come on let's go." But when does Mackenzie ever listen? She walks to the body
"You okay?" She asked softly
"Do I look okay?" The boy on the ground hiss
"Here let me help you." Mackenzie left the boy up," Eason I really need help here." Eason sigh. How can he say no to her sister?
"What happened to you?" Eason asked the wound boy
"I was lost in the forest and they came I have no chance to run but they don't seem hungry so they just start beating me." The boy said weakly.
After they arrived at the village Mackenzie put the boy on the couch.
"If the village disagree to keep him what will you do?" Eason asked Mackenzie
"The elderlies won't be that cruel. If they don't want him to stay. They will wait until he healed."

The next morning the villages hold up a meeting to see if they should keep the wound boy or not.
"Why should we? We don't have enough food to feed another mouth." Said one of the best warrior in the village
"Are you really that cruel to leave a hurt boy out there with those bloodsucking monsters?" Asked Mackenzie.
"Honey you can't safe everyone that's hurt." The woman who raised Mackenzie and Eason speak. They were orphans. They were found wondering around in the forest
"Let's let the elderlies speak." After a long dis guess the elderlies finally spoken
"We'll keep him until he heals then we'll decide."
