You were at the companion for about a month you trained with Vilkas nearly every day and when there was a contract to be done by the both of you .
" hey !(Y/n) we have a contract you ready? "You heard Vilkas outside of your room
"Yeah one minute! " you shout , you rush to your table and grab your sword and bow .
You opened the door to see Vilkas he had a slight smile in the corner of his lips like all ways .
"What's the job ? " you ask
"Kidnapping " he says "should be easy "
"Right , sell lets get to it !" You say following him
(Hour later)
You reached a cave .
"You sure its here ? "You ask him
"Yep should be "he says drawing out his sword and wondering into the cave with you on his tail .
(I had to alright it was a good pun x3 )
You both steadily walk deeper into the cave . You spotted a hold in the stone wall . You peeked through it to see a man chained up and bandits putting a dagger up to his neck you couldn't hear what they were saying though . Vilkas noticed that you stoped , he look at you and walk up close to you
"What are you doing ? " he asks quietly
"Look "
He look through the hole with you , seeing the bandits cut the mans neck open .
You turn around and slid down the stone wall,
You were to late .
Vilkas saw you in shock , you felt like you were going to be sick , you stared to cough and gasp as tears formed in your eyes .
Vilkas neels beside you and hugged you , rocking you gently side to side .
"(Y/n) Its ok .... its ok " he says gently trying to calm you down
"We .... we were ... to late " you says tears rolling down your cheeks
" come on lets go " you both stood up
He rapped his arm around your back and held you hand with his other hand and stared walking back home .

You spent the rest of the day on your bed thinking it over ,and again and again. It became night but you stayed up next to a lit candle on top of the bed side table , you couldn't sleep
You hear your door creak as it opens
"(Y/n) are you still awake ? " you hear vilkas' voice
"Yeah ,... come in " you say
He peers around the corner and walks in, he come closer and closer to you and neels on the ground
"Are you ok? " he asks
"I can't sleep " you say
"Same , try and get some sleep ,okay?" He says
Just as he was about to walk of you grab his hand making him stop .
"Humm"
"Don't leave me alone , please " you say looking into his silvery blue eyes , he smiles a bit
"I would never leave you " he says
He pulls over a chair beside your bed and holds you hand rubbing it gently in till you fall asleep .
