I froze. My heart and mind were racing each other. Clair had a worried look on her face as well as she looked at me. The man looked slightly older than myself. Probably in his 20's. I sat back down as the man instructed afraid for my life. Clair spoke in a frightened tone, "Aiden, you need to run right now! Don't listen to him! He's only going to kill you in the end!". That may be so but if there's a chance he'll let me go like that guy with the doll then I have to take it.

I take a deep breath so my voice isn't so shaky as I talk, "What happened to all the others...The students and the t-teacher...".

The man looks down smirking and laughs to himself, "That's for me to know, and for you to find them yourself". I take a deep breath and look down at my desk to think about my options and my mind tells me to ask a certain question that could possibly lead to my death.

I look back up at the man and I ask, "Are you a NightStalker?".

The man's eyes widened and smiled evilly, "As a Matter of Fact I am!". That confirmed it, he really was a murderer, if I didn't do something soon I was gonna die. I glance at Clair who's looking back and forth between the man and me. I need think of plan and fast! I know this guy is gonna kill me, but I don't know how he's gonna do it unlike what that kid with the doll. All of a sudden, his black butterfly lands on the back of my hand. I freeze, not even breathing. Then, a sharp pain suddenly spikes on my hand and I knock away the insect. I look at my hand to see that its bleeding. I wipe it with my other hand, but only get blood on it. I look up at the man who's laughing to himself, "Its feeding time!". I heard a noise outside and I see a swarm of black butterflies heading straight for the window.

"Aiden, run...run, RUN NOW!", Clair's words echoed in my mind. i got up from my desk and ran out to the hall not looking back and i yelled out to Clair, "Clair! Meet me back at the street where I met you, I promise I'll see you there!". I didn't hear a response. The closest thing I could get was a faint "okay" in the distance. The noise of the butterflies was masking it all as they pursued me. I looked around for an opening. Something for me to get away from all of them. I ran into another classroom and it was in session. A teacher teaching students as they all listened. So not everyone in the school has disappeared, only my class. The teacher looked at me in confusion, but quickly looked at me in fear. I looked back at him the same way and I jumped out of the way from the door as it was kicked open flooding in Black Butterflies mixed with the sound of maniacal laughter. I crawl on the floor as a new sound appears, the sound of boys and girls screaming in horror. I manage to escape the class using the other door, but the butterflies didn't follow me this time. I started to run away while being pulled down by a huge sense of guilt, and regret. All of a sudden the intercom turns on and tells everyone to evacuate the school grounds immediately. They didn't give reason why, only that it was an emergency.

I run off of the campus and into the city. At this time the sun had begun to set causing the sky to give off a golden glow mixed with purple clouds. I stop at a streetlight and I breathe heavily and I tear up almost crying, letting one or two tears out. I try to hold in my tears and sadness and try to push back these feelings but all of a sudden I get a warm sensation surrounding me. Clair had hugged me with her own transparent tears falling from her face. She was afraid for me. She looked up at me and said, "I'm so glad you're okay!", and she smiled. The regret and guilt grew even more and I started to cry harder as I realized it. I hugged clair back and let my own sadness take over. I didn't care who was watching, they could think whatever they wanted about a boy who was hugging the air and crying, but I needed to let my emotions grab hold of me, or else i'd become like one of those monsters...those killers.

After i had let it all come out, I started to head home. "And here i thought ghosts were cold", i said to Clair and she giggled a bit. She followed close behind me. I was glad she was here with me. While walking home, she went from behind me to next to me, and I smiled. At the back of my mind, I couldn't help but feel like I was still being followed.
