chapter one

Kymone gambert woke from a terrifing nightmare on the floor of her bedroom and was very tramatize she was only eight years old,she dreamt that while she was watching her father rode on the back of agreat big horse to her he seems to be having such fun and she was enjoying the fun he was having but suddently the horse started going wild flong her father from its back then began to trample alover him. Kymone ran from where she watch running out to see if she could save her father but when she got close the horse saw her coming leave her father laying on the ground and ran after her she turn around to run back to where she came from but fell to the ground,in no time the horse was where she lay raising big strong hoofs to drop on her she tries to get away but try as she migh she couldnt get away laying face down with her face burried in her palm kicking and screaming when her parents heard the loud scream from their daughters room they ran to see what it was finding her on the floor kicking and screaming yelling out "daddy daddy daddy" frank grambert tries to get close to her but couldnt to the way she was kicking."its alright baby"frank said in a soft voice "daddy is right here" up on hearing the sound of her fathers voice she open her eyes to see him kneeling over her jumping up in to his arms holding on to him as if never to let go.april gambert was afraid never before has she seen her daughter behave this way her racing heart the trembling of her body she was sweating alover and her tears wet her face. " She is going to be just fine" frank told his wife after seeing the worried look she has on her face, but april didnt think so she wanted to call the doctor frank didnt see the need for the doctor but call so his wife could feel better. "It seems your daughter had a night mare"doctor told them after doing his checks "she doing fine now come morning i m telling you she wont remember a thing".kymone never got over that night she grew with such hate and fair for horses that she didnt even want to hear their name, when she met and became close friends with peter atkins who has a love for horses and was a horse back rider they like each other alot but peter never told her that he was until a later date when he did she wanted to end their friendship right away.peter has fallen deeply in love with her he didnt want to loose her and fight to save their friendship, he later manage to talk her in to marrying him they got married at the age of eighteen and move else where to live.her grandfather had died leaving in her name a huge prembroke farm that she claim to want nothing to do with it.her parents thought that she would change her mind and move there once she got married.but she told them they could always sell it but the prembroke farm for many years had been in sidny gamberts life frank knew the farm ment so much to his father past life he would never think about selling it.himself and his wife thought about moving their to live but it was when their thirteen years old son jermaine gambert got enroled in a school in town they decided to move where it would be easier,they could care for the place and get to work with ease. Both frank and april are lawyers and together ran alawferm and manage a shipping company that were both gifts from his father.things were different from they last saw it five years ago the once brightly colour painted house has lost its sheen surounded by tall bushes and was now housing some animals on the wooden front proch that was capsizing in other words breaking down,they knew there would be some work before things be back to normal but settling down will have to be their first move. On the week end they would get together to do what little they could to clean up but still they were getting no where after a few months of trying it seems things were getting worst seeing that they were going to need some help for it was a big place and with a every day job like theirs it was very hard to get much work done on the farm. One morning on their way to work they put up a notice that they needed a farmer experience farmer who also knew about raring of animals mentioning the horses that was there leaving a phone number along with an address hoping someone will call. After a month of waiting to hear someone call no one did thursday they took the day off and stay home while sitting in their living room the front door knock when april open it she saw a young man standing in the doorway holding the piece of paper on wich she had wrote he didnt look much older than her son at forteen but he told her he was there for the job thought he was a bit young and look to have no experience but they needed the help as well as it seems he needed the job he gave his name only as turell only willing to be payed in cash they hired him.neither of them regrets hiring the young man for in no time the place was looking so good a heavy wooden fence was put in place to keep the animals from coming in to the yard he has manage to house a few , april was now enjoying her own flower garden growing next to her front proch while they give the place beauty the house was under going repair to be paint the once rugged lawn was now neathly kept.thinking that with all this done she could finally get her daughter to come visit but she was still refusing to do so jermaine told his sister how he was having fun how nice things were at the farm he told her how much he was missing her much as she herself was missing her brother but there wasnt any thing that they could say to get her to come april beg her all was left for her was to get on her knees peter tells her " horses are harmless they wont hurt you" he say but because of her dream she didnt want to believe that he too would love to take the trip but dears not ask her to go he knew well how she feels about horses he was glad to get the chance to be in her life so he wasnt going to ask for more he wouldnt go on his own for he wasnt sure how she will feel if he should do that.there were times she wish he didnt have to be what he is but it was his job and he loves his job he loves her as much hoping that she understand that he would never put it over her peter was also a realestate manager he took over business from his dad while going collage and build for himself a carmart where he rent and sell cars and kymone wish he hadd stick to one of those. ever since peter got married to kymone they wanted children four was whats in their plans never caring which way they came long as it was two of each and to born on peters birthday feburary fourteen.as he wanted. For a while they tries when nothing happen they both started beliving they werent able to, peter was away on realestate business when kymone fell ill on her visit to the doctor she was told she was pregant over joy to hear she wanted to tell her husband right away but needed to tell him face to face she wait for his return she was so happy and ancious to to tell him the good news when he call to say he would be coming in early a bout a week before his normal time she knew he was coming in for the big race pat riley his trainer and manger has call him to attend.but he would be home and she would get to tell him the plane on which peter was travelling catch afire in the air the pilot take it to the ground before it goes up in flame peter had got off safely but had ran back in to the burning plane to assit the other's but never made it out the plane blew up before he could micheal pears two days later met with a devastating mrs atkins after he came bringing the things peter had gave him to hold like a dream she had before only this time things were real her husband was dead wasnt coming back the horse didnt kill him but she couldnt help but to think they did. Blaming herself for not telling him that she was pregant for maybe he would think twice before he went back on that burning plane he didnt know those people he should never had gone back she didnt care if he was being selffish now her husband will never comes back to her she wont get to tell him shes going to have his baby he'll never know he would become afather,kymone's family has been there the best they could helping her to cope though peter parents were morning they try to stay strong for her it was hard to see herself with out her husband herself with father less children more she thought about it the worst things get locking away from everyone didnt want to go out didnt want to eat it came to apoint where her parents couldnt stay with her anymore but didnt want to leave her alone they wanted her to come live with them but she refuse to.micheal offer to stick around frank wasnt sure if that was the right thing to do they didnt really know micheal and jermaine for one does not like him something about him he said. April has no problem she didnt fine any fault what so ever with him saying since peter knew him and he work with him it will be ok peter parents didnt find him as charmine as he make himself to be but didnt object kymome for one didnt care who stay or who goes she would want nothing more than to be by herself.micheal was there as said he was now managing things at the atkins real estate company he was peters assistance they took all his business trips together he knew how things ran more than anything he was still at the house while kymone struggle on him being there ment nothing to her for he was just there.as she grew more and more devastating as the babies time to be born get closer doctor had discover she was with twin they werent sure she would beable to give birth for she was very weak but kymone didnt want any cut as they plan they would have to do and on july fifteen on her birthday after few hours in labour she give birth to a boy and a girl, two healthy babies weighing eight pounds she name them rushaune and rushell atkins.they became a constant reminder of what she had share with peter trying her best to be astrong mother though it was struggling getting back on her feet she worried about telling them about their father as they grow older, so many things were there as a reminder of what peter life was like thropey ,medals, pictures,plocks,and other things his clothes that micheal now took as his own wearing them more than peter ever did peter parents was stronger,now playing a active role in their grand childrens life visiting every chance they get kymone parents came each chance they get but couldnt visit as often as would like to. The children grew gracefully each day frank and april long to spend time with them long to see their daughter and to know how shes coping talking to her everyday still wasnt enough kymone still wasnt making any effort to visit no matter how they try to convince her telling her peter wasnt kill by a horse and that night years ago only happen in her dream, it wasnt real, to them it wasnt but to her it was real as it could ever be and yes peter wasnt kill by horses but truth was they were the reason he was coming back the day he was.micheal had said that pat had call him to make the show and that was why he got in that plane she was mad at pat mad at the world mad at micheal for not talking peter out of going on that burning plane.apart of her wish the children werent born but she love them alot and would do anything for them thou it wasnt much they wanted for she offer so many but they only wants her love. Micheal became a perament part of the house hold for he was still there and wasnt going any where kymone didnt love him or did she feel anything for him but he was with her all these years and when he get in to bed onenight with her she didnt turn him away its been six years and she needed to feel someone arms around her thought micheal arms werent comfort enough she still let him hold her but his love hurts so much that it got her crying out missing her husband even more micheal desparately tries to become the man of the house but he couldnt take her husbands place or would he becomes a father to the twin they doesnt seems to like him very much because of the way he yelled at them or bossing them to get things done for him before they came to know about their father kymone believe her children would grow up calling him dad or even uncle but they didnt.it went from him to the man then it was micheal when she finally gotten around to tell them that their father had died they were sadden by it hurting to know they didnt get to meet him rushell said she could tell micheal werent their real dad to the way he mistreat them always threating to slap them down or curse at them using expletive words when their mother wasnt in the same room as them.micheal pretends to be nothing but sweet when kymones family or anyone was around she never want anyone to know she wasnt happy for they would start forcing her to the farm again and she didnt want that so when he ask her in front of everyone to marry him she quickly said yes for if ever she had say no her mother would want to know why she couldnt really tell her a lie especially to her face, its been two years on going but still they havent set a date kymone was glad to be tied up in fashion going here and there much as she wasnt comfortable doing any thing peter was the one who force her in to be coning a model icon and he was no more nothing seems fun any more she be came a doctor for his sake she wanted to be the one that looked after him if anything had went wrong he broke his leg, his arm hurt his back that he spend two weeks in bed she took care of him she dont want to be in the office but her work has help her not to be around micheal so much.managing to stay focous kymone contunie to do both work with no distraction but once she got home it all came down more so when micheal wanted to have sex when it was over and she lay down crying she often wonder why she takes it she long for some good love some she once had with peter some she will never get with micheal.it was the first week in july few days before the summer holiday started kymone and the children's birthday were coming up april wants to have them aparty,she knew her grandchildren werent crazy about parties and her daughter stop partying since her husband died she mostly burry herself in her work from one to the other and nothingelse how nice it would be if they could just visit for a short time april said to her husband it make no sence calling her daughter for she was going to say no so this time around she call the children telling them to do what ever it takes to get her to take them get on your knees if you have to she said.it was the first time she was going to tell the children to ask knowing she will never beable to turn them down the twin did as they were told by their grandmother,it was thursday morning kymones day off,and the first day of the summer holiday kymone was inside the kitchen baking when the chindren came rushing in "mom" they both said she turn around and they were right there "what now?" Kymone ask she thought since they didnt have shool they would sleep alittle later,but they seems in a good mode she wonder why they were so pep up then rushell got closer and said "you got to take us to see grandma!" micheal was at the table reading the sport page from the observer and talking on his phone his head came up and he look over at them kymone know that her daughter knew peter mother was travelling an wouldnt be back for another week before she could remind her she contunie to speak my brother and i will love to see the farm.no way kymone said in a tone that frighten even her,no she said calmly please mom they both said kymone didnt have to ask if her mother set then up to it for these two never ask to do nothing."no" she told them once more turning to take the cakes out the oven, rushell beg again " please mom" she said before starts crying when her mother ignore her kymone knew rushell to be good with tears for she' s always crying but the look in her son's eyes when she heard him say "if only daddy was here" and she turn to face them the pitty she felt make her change her mind right away. "alright,alright"she said "i'll take you to your grand mother,' " but if your re not ready in the next hour i am changing my mind, got that?" in no time they were ready dragging their things down the stairs. micheal seems eager to take the trip aswell for even he was pack and ready. now that she was taking the children to their grandmother kymone was hoping to get away from micheal for a few days never expecting he would be tagging along she could well ask that he didnt bother to go but how would she explain to them when she turn up with out him. After helping the children load their things in the jeep she pack hers and after putting things together and calling in at work they were ready to go.
